Great mid-week break.

Check-in was smooth. Received an email with the door code the day before arrival. House was clean and well equipped. Furniture was comfortable, Because we arrived mid-week, there was only one other house that was occupied. Not a soul anywhere except the beach. The beach was good, not great due to seaweed. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Beach getaway for my husband’s birthday a total success

the property was everything advertised and more. There was constant communication to check on any opportunities for improvement but we had no issues during our stay. Being so convenient to the beach made the trip complete and the local shopping and dining venues did not disappoint. We will definitely book again.

Poor communication

This house is managed by Vacasa. They were terrible with communication when issues arose. The first night we were there the whole town lost power for the whole night. The house was hot and did not have alternative means of power. Other houses in the area had generators for times like that. The power went out again on our last night. Forcing us to leave and find a hotel near by. Again, communication with the property manager was terrible with 3+ hour response times. When I told them about the issues, they told me they had a message into the local staff and would get back to me. Still have yet to hear anything from them. I will not be using Vacasa again. We have had much better experiences with dealing with the property owners directly in the past. Otherwise, the house is in a great location. I would suggest for the stairway to have a gate at the top for small children to avoid falls. We enjoyed our trip for the most part. Aside from there being no power for two of the nights we were there.

Everything was very clean and well prepared. The only complaint that I had, was that the fridge leaked water the entire time that we were there. You might need to get someone to look at it.

Great location and family friendly

We stayed at Pelican View for a couple of days and liked the location which was only one street away from the beach. The house was the right size for our family and was small child friendly. The house could have been cleaner (dusty blinds, sock from previous tenants), the pots and pans need to be replaced, and the area rug had seen better days.

I think the place was great, it wasn't as clean as you would expect. There were spider webs in the kitchen as if it had been shut up for a while. I think it was quite pricey to be such an older home, and not as clean as it could be.

False advertising! To say that this place has an "ocean view" is grossly misleading. You literally have to stand on the very corner of the balcony and squint past the 2 rows of houses in front to see the water. This was a huge disappointment for my family because we were looking forward to relaxing on the balcony and watching the waves. Another thing that would've been more of a courtesy than anything, would have been a list of what beach gear is provided. There are no beach chairs or beach towels provided. Aside from that, the house was clean and spacious for our 7 adults, 1 baby, and 2 dogs. Being able to park at the house and walk to the beach was very convenient! The owners just need to fix their advertising. And a couple small things that need to be addressed - the microwave above the stove did not work, so whenever we cooked, it would smoke out the house. And I'm not sure why the windows were locked closed - there was such a nice breeze while we were there and we wanted to open them. All in all, I do not plan to book this place again.

Beautiful Near Beach Home

Clean, open inviting, had all the amenities we needed, less than 2 to 3 minutes walk to a very clean section of the beach (not all beaches look this beautiful). Close to other amenities (gas, coffee, pastries, groceries, restaurants). Had a great time with family.

Overall stay was good but cleanliness was not

Our overall stay was amazing as we had the chance to stay within walking distance of the beach and enjoy it for the whole day. I’d definitely be willing to recommend the property if the issues can be resolved as they are not that big but can make a huge difference in the stay. The property itself is nice, but there are a few things that made it go from a 5 star to 3 star very easily (could’ve been less) First: the cleanliness of the house was not good. The bed blankets and pillows had stains where you could tell they were dirty or not cleaned properly. We had to unfortunately use them as we did not being any extra blankets or anything. Second: there was an ant issue and it was BAD. Since the second we got there we spotted some ants; we didn’t think much of it but as our stay progressed, we saw how bad it was. One morning we made breakfast and we decided to leave the leftovers in the counter, covered with aluminum. Hours later we went back and the whole plate was covered in a pile of ants eating the food. Everywhere in the house we had to be careful of our belonging or the ants would start getting to it. Really bad taste on that matter.

Good location, but the negatives were big ones

The property is in a good location, but I didn’t think the floors were very clean. The sugar ants were a HUGE problem and we noticed them within a couple hours. There was no electricity to the outlets downstairs where 90 percent of the gathering time occurs. Otherwise, the property was in a good location, is spacious, and does have all the amenities of home.

Nice Family Vacation

The house is situated within close walking proximity to the beach. The house itself is roomy and perfect for a family. It was clean and well stocked. Some things to mention... there is a $10 beach vehicle fee if you decide to bring your car on the beach, but this location is walkable if you don't have a lot of things to carry. Being nit-picky, the house does have a few minor damages that could use some attention - nothing too bad, just aesthetically unpleasant. Also, be prepared for TV's to not function, and a large bun of VHS tapes! Only the master bedroom had working cable, no biggie, but it would have been nice while winding down from the day to be able to gather in the living room and watch something other than the one DVD available on repeat (Monsters Inc.) - or older movies on VHS. Also, bring your own blow dryer, there was none to be found. No major things, just to be prepared if you do end up renting this property.

Location location location!

For our family (mom, dad, two boys ages 6 & 10), our first priority is quick easy walking access to beach - so this property was a stellar choice!!! Other pluses: the house was lovely, super easy checkin and checkout, plenty of space for our family, nice large deck, outdoor shower for de-sanding, nice selection of beach toys for the kids, plenty of beach towels & chairs, washer/dryer, comfy beds. Negative aspects would be: no hair dryer in bathroom as advertised, surprised that there was zero spare toilet paper or paper towels, not a super well equipped kitchen for families who cook a lot, DVD player was broken (but hey, my kids now know what a VCR is!), no grill/BBQ, and wifi was slow. None of these negatives would keep us from going back, though! Just wanted other families to know our experience. Finally, we didn’t know that cars/trucks could drive on the beach, obviously not a property issue but was scary at times since we have wild boys who run all over. Unfortunately this is the thing that would take us somewhere else next time.
