The communication with the provider was completely unprofessional and bordered on deceptive business practices. The booking information clearly stated that check-in instructions would be sent 24 hours before arrival. Nothing was sent. Despite more than ten attempts to contact the company, nobody responded. Only after filing a second complaint with Hotels.com did they finally send the instructions, and that happened in the afternoon on the day of arrival.
The address we received was approximately 4 km away from the resort and our apartment. No map or directions were provided. Finding the apartment among dozens of buildings was virtually impossible. We eventually received help from the staff at the Lake Hill Resort reception, who were extremely kind despite the booking not being made through them. Without their assistance, we were seriously considering contacting the police because we had no idea where we were supposed to stay.
Moreover, we had booked and paid for an apartment for four people, yet only one double bed was prepared on arrival.
