This gives visitors easy access to almost everything one might want to do...Country Club Plaza and River Market shopping and restaurants, WW1 Museum, Union Station, The Arabia Steamboat Museum, the Nelson Atkins art museum (and others) and lots of restaurants."

"We checked in and went up to our room and noticed room was warm. We turned the AC down in the room and went to bed. We got warm through the night and I’d end up opening a window. My Husband went down with the front desk following morning and they ended up telling him that the AC was out. That was not told to us upon check-in. They told us we could open up a window and that would cool the room off. Remind you, we are in downtown Kansas City, where there are sirens, loud noises, etc. The first day our room was not cleaned and of course we came back and requested housekeeping. It took three days to get our room cleaned. All of this to say the communication amongst the hotel staff was extremely poor."

"The gym was small but had good equipment. The parking was an issue -charged to park but all the spots were filled - we asked about the parking and night staff was rude. They apparently have off site parking available on weekends that you have to walk from- but we were not informed at check in. But otherwise people were nice. "

"The staff was exceptional. Went above and beyond to ensure that you are comfortable. Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. However, Breakfast on the weekend was better than the weekday but I would highly recommend and I will definitely come back!"

"Let’s describe it as quirky. This is in a former grand house, and has shared spaces including a living room. Our room was quite large and even had a few snacks. We never actually saw anyone else there, as we had instructions to get in. Parking was a short walk away in a museum lot. We loved the closeness to Nelson-Atkins museum, and it was pretty near KC Rep’s theater."

"Under renovation (which we were informed about the day of our check in). Upon check in, we were told we were lucky because we would be in one of the newly renovated rooms. Unfortunately, they are poorly done in every way. Nothing was functional, everything is cheap and done halfway (missing outlet covers, power strips hanging at the back of the bed, visible caulking), entire hotel smelled bad. Additionally, the desk was unattended most evenings with easy access to the building, the food permit expired in December, the WiFi never worked. For the renovation part, the work started earlier and ended later than we were told. The only good thing is that it is right on the free streetcar, which we used constantly. The noise of the streetcar didn’t bother us, but it may bother others. "
