Positive: Adult only (quiet & peaceful for sure), the staff were amazing! Each & every one! I literally want to go back to see them lol - the best food was by the pool! I loved the room, the private balcony’s & jet tub! Negatives: The resort needs some updating- the pipes were screaming! Literally waking me up (I thought it was a boat - or construction) . They need new bedding (pillows smelt bad! Blankets are stained with makeup etc- towels and rags were old and worn). The restaurant had great service but the food was not the best - 4 out of 10 for me. The roof top Jacuzzis probably needs to be tuned up - the jets were weak. Overall: I would go back to relax and enjoy the people & the pool - now that I know what to expect 😘

Great property hotel staff was amazing. Only thing is the beach Infront of the property is not swimmable (rocks and seaweed) but the hotel next door has a beach that you can swim in

This use to be a top notch property not anymore. Food and beverage needs urgent help, food is cantina style food, breakfast is a joke can not prepare decent fried eggs. For lunch tried the ceviche it was an imitation nicely prevented half diced (yes half diced) pieces of fish to 5 portions of cucumbers and 5 of tomatoes. Ridiculous. The wings are good. We had dinner of property . The front desk staff was great as well as a waiter that has been working there for years and one pool server. The rest have no clue what they are doing. Rooms are huge and have what’s needed but no maintainable, mold over the ceilings, espresso machines nice touch but did not works , stained towels clean bed and floor. Blackouts did not work, balcony doors do not shut completely so hard to sleep with the wind coming in. Nice hot water and shower area. Iron was dirty stained my clothes, ironing board rusted. Staff is great need guidance. Front desk Gio is an asset. The jacuzzis on the 3ed floor should be thrown away alas they are stained and are not hotel material. Much better to put a warmer on the main pool and keep that area open till late as there is nothing absolutely nothing to do there. Again I have been to the property multiple times in late 2022 and early 2023 and was excellent.

Definitely has potential but it did not meet standards, compared to other all inclusive resort we’ve stayed at. Senses only has one restaurant and one snack bar. We spent a full week there, and ate the same food every day. The dining option for an all inclusive was way too limited. Another issue we had was the towels were stained. Every single towels that they gave us, down to the robes were stained. We also had to ask them several times to change our sheets. The pros were definitely their amazing staff, specifically the dining and snack bar staff. The front desk staff were also great! The room was also as advertised; the view was absolutely breathtaking.

We had a great stay! The hotel room itself was a bit shabby but I felt like we got what we paid for (a little shabby in exchange for a cheaper hotel). It was nice and quiet, the room was giant and the food was great, and the view was unbeatable! I could list a bunch of things in the room that needed repair, but honestly, that didn't bother us too much! Lower your expectations a bit and you'll have no problems IMO. I would book here again :)

Couldn’t get breakfast because “chef was not in today”. Got locked out of the room because they had expired the room key access. The hot tub wasn’t functioning properly. No gym. No sand beach, forced to walk over to other hotels in order to access beach. Servers not friendly attitude. Was asked to pay if wanted to stay in room an extra hour after checkout as we had to wait for transportation. They refused to serve me a single ginger ale drink a few minutes after checkout and wanted to charge me. Really long wait times on ordering food which is supposedly “all inclusive” but very limited and unfriendly service.

I had an amazing time here . The only thing is they only have one restaurant . No bars . I thought it was more options .. this is a place of just peace and relaxation . I went for my birthday so I had to leave the resort for fun ..They will call for transportation . I paid 33 usd to go to playa del Carmen which is an Amazing place to shop / entertainment . For night life it was 40 usd . This is all one way . Not round trip . The customer service is amazing , fun and helpful . This will be a place for a couple retreat . Not for singles lol . Overall I was completely satisfied . I would definetly go again but in a relationship .. My room was perfect . I had the ocean view 😊

We had an amazing time here. View was incredible. Food was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend this resort if you want a quiet relaxing time. Only negative thing in our opinion is there was no ATM on site. But that gave us an opportunity to go check out 5th Ave in playa del Carmen.

Definitely 2-3 star at best. While the staff was accommodating and the reception and views were nice, the property itself needs some updating. The sofa and chairs in our room were subpar. We appreciated the size and space of the room but were denied when asked to see a different room. We were directly across from the elevator and the pool. I understand the cabana beds were first come, first serve but on the two days we were there, they were "reserved" as early as dawn by other patrons. The food choices were limited but we thoroughly enjoyed the bar. Freddy and Hector were the best bartender/waiter combination.

The property is a dated but SPACIOUS. There is a snack bar that closes at 4:30 and 1 restaurant in which you have to order from a menu and they take the menu as if you won't want anything else. Again ,all inclusive sir/ma'am. I will say the limited food offered was good. The restaurant is not open at all times so choose your limited snacks and meals accordingly. My husband and I have traveled to MANY All Inclusive resorts but NEVER to one like this. All the drinks are watered down and you have to pay extra money for any premium drinks so bring your wallet. There is no shuttle from this resort. There is a busing but even to get to it, you would need a taxi because the roads from the resort are not safe. Senses is in a secluded area. There is absolutely NOTHING around it but a couple of other resorts. You will have to go next door to enjoy the actual beach because the area in front of senses is very dirty. The steps to get to the beach are VERY dangerous so be careful. We took a taxi to the nearest store and it cost us $ 34 dollars. ALL the rooms are pool and ocean front so don't fall for all the glamour of spending more money. Non of the sliding doors on the balconies work. We called to try to get it fixed and maintenance came but said they would be back the next day to fix but never showed up. The relaxing pool was sooo damaged that we could not use it. We spoke with some of the other guests and they had the same issues we had. We won't be back. The staff was great!

Bad: 1)93$ unforeseen fee for smth I don’t know on your check in… 2) water was dripping from the ceiling, and ac didn’t work, but they fixed it on the same day. 3)No sand beach on the hotel property, but you can go to the next hotel beach. 4)Not all companies can pick you up from this hotel, you will have to find closest meeting point. 5) Very bumpy road to the hotel, huge holes… 6) You can’t use bathtub on the balcony without calling reception to fill it up. 7) sparks from one ac outlet when I plugged in my phone charger… 8) one time had someone’s hair in my breakfast eggs… Everything else is good.

Smaller all inclusive so we didnt find the food choices very good. When they are busy staffing seems to be minimal which increses wait time greatly especially room service. Other then that it was great.

The pictures were the best thing about this property unfortunately. It says Playa Del Carmen but it’s at least 30 mins from anything to do or places to eat. The food was recycled nightly. The same chicken breast, skirt steak and salad option just rearranged and barely edible. The menu was very limited, long wait time for the food considering there was never more than 5-6 people in the restaurant. We ended up leaving most days to find food, again 30 mins in either direction. They definitely had favorites and perhaps it was a tipping situation. I usually leave envelopes for tips on my way out for dining, customer service and cleaning staff so I’m not sure if they thought I wasn’t going to tip at all so the friendliness and service towards me was subpar. The room was nice but not well cleaned, mainly the soaker tub and the balcony plunge pool which were dirty. I’m use to smiling friendly faces at resorts, especially all inclusive resorts, but staff barely spoke and seemed to be annoyed when you saw them. The pictures paint a very different view than the actual atmosphere of this place. I’ve been to Mexico at least 4 other times and have had lovely experiences but in all I’d never stay there again and likely won’t be back after the way this last trip went.

I absolutely loved our stay at senses…after a horrible experience at a different resort, the people here really saved our vacation and I will always recommend senses to anyone traveling to Playa Del Carmen.

The hotel rooms are very nice but that’s about all you get. Cristian at the front desk told me there is a $5 USD TIP MINIMUM. Keep in mind the property is ALL INCLUSIVE. I also came back to my room TWICE to someone random in there cleaning without my knowledge or permission. They do not have privacy notices to hang on your door. All the food is also Pre-made, i am almost certain. Everything taste and looked exactly the same everyday. They also charged me $3 USD for a lighter when all I did was ask to borrow. Also the 20-25min cab ride to the airport is at least $65 USD. And you don’t have a choice because everything is “regulated”. There’s nothing authentic about this place, they serve burgers, fries and play American music all day. Moral of the story is, I did not feel welcomed, AT ALL. This was my first and probably my LAST time in Mexico.

The Good- Outstanding service. The small size of this property allowed us to really get to know the employees. Hernan in the restaurant was excellent!! So were Cesar and Ricardo. The guys by the pool and snack bar were also great. Hector, Armando and Gerardo kept the drinks flowing and the atmosphere fun, yet relaxing. Food-no buffets, all meals were made to order. Forced you to relax and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful Caribbean views while sipping on a refreshing tropical beverage. Rooms- spacious with incredible views! The Bad- The property needs a ton of TLC. From mold in the shower and on the bed box spring to missing tiles in the pool we were surprised by the condition of the property. The saving grace was that we were able to look beyond all of these problems and focus on the amazing views and wonderful people that we met. If they fix this place up, it would be an incredible place to enjoy a relaxing Caribbean vacation. A diamond in the rough!!

If you need to relax, it is a good place, too quiet for me, the room is spacious and the view is spectacular, the hotel in general needs good maintenance, more variety of food and drinks, the staff is pleasant, I recommend having a rental car to visit the surroundings. I wouldn't spend more than 4 days there.

What we enjoyed was it was quiet. We love children, but not someone else kids screaming when you want to relax on vacation. Senses Riviera is a small resort with less choices than the big resorts, but was a relaxing change with out the long walks to get the restaurants or lines at the bars. Two thumbs up.

Cuando llegue. No es lo que se ve en la foto. No tienen playas. La piscina muy bonita. Los meseros son muy amables pero administración tiene muy mala comunicación. En mi estadía me quedé sin agua y sin luz. Supuestamente estaba programado pero nunca me lo comunicaron. No tiene actividades. Y el día k hubo, lo supe a ultimo minuto. Podrían enviar un horario por lo mínimo. Yo esperaba más opciones en la comida, por lo meno un buffet con más comida mexicana. Aunque habían muchos platos que el chef hizo excelente. El restaurante y el bar debería estar abierto hasta tarde. Pues ello cierran alas 10pm, yo estaba en vacaciones yo no quiero estar en la cama alas 10 de la noches.

The staff is amazing everything we experience was truly a vacation experience every single staff member made us feel like we were family down to the waiters personalized experience to dishes to drinks to 1 on 1 specialties truly amazing food atmosphere down to the euphoric feeling of the waves serenading you to sleep every night down to the heartfelt goodbye for now’s at the end of our trip we will be back telling people to bring with us on a return again truly10 star experience if there would be 10 stars to give it truly deserves it

I did like the fact that it was adult only and a boutique style resort. Small and intimate. The infinity pool was a nice touch. There is so much potential in this resort however, they choose to be on the lower level. The food was hit or miss. We are in Mexico. They had one night for Mexican food in the restaurant....... The rooms were large however they are dingy and just need some TLC. Stains in everything. Bed, sofa, pillows, paint on the curtains. On a good note the employees i.e. servers and bar tenders were A very attentive. Front desk on the other hand makes promises and never follow through....... Not a good look but oh well.

Just returned from a week at Senses. The building itself is in need of a touch up ( think missing shower tiles and broken AC) but the rooms are HUGE and the balconies big enough to not go to the pool deck if you don’t want to with 2 sunbeds and a plunge pool. But what sets this resort apart without doubt is the INCREDIBLE staff, from the reception desk to the pool ALL were above and beyond friendly and helpful. I would say names but I would hate to forget anyone but I do mean All staff. Some quirks… I read reviews mentioning towels ( being charged for if stained) during check in that was mentioned so be aware, only 2 beers allowed in the room fridge?? The resort is very far from anything so be sure to take all that you need, there is a resort next door with a gift shop but take your hiking shoes, it is long walk as the resort is enormous. Overall for a relaxing week I would highly recommend, if you like nightlife and provided entertainment I would look elsewhere.

I had several issues whole staying here for 6 days. Sink was clogged, internet went down, locked out of room for several hours as lock stopped working. They were all fixed just not right away. Nowhere you sit or lay on actual beach. Quiet place for relax.
