We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. "Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!"

"We stayed in a “Superior Room” with a volcano view. The resort is close to everything,, a 10-15 minute drive to downtown area. Also not “too bad” of a drive at night back to the resort from downtown at night. The room was large and spacious. Air conditioning was great. Pools and hot springs were awesome. Ford and drinks were good. A few sections of the resort were not maintained and underused. Such as the lagoon area. Also, a lookout tower was closed off. It would have been nice to take a kayak or paddle board out on the water. Overall, I would recommend and would also plan a return visit next time I’m in the area."
