"I had read the reviews for this property and was prepared. It’s an old property sadly in need of an upgrade. Not good if it’s your first impression of NZ. I picked it for our last night before an early am flight so it was about convenience. Room quite dated with not so comfy bed. Clean though. Bathroom old and tired but clean. Minimal outlet points for charging devices - something needed before or after a flight! Has wooden floors and we could hear the group upstairs running along the corridor late into the night. Good parking. Has a bar and restaurant on site with a limited menu. But better than nothing after a long flight. "

"Disappointed no one is present at 4.30pm check in on Saturdays Need to phone for number to enter and gain key for safe. Unfortunately they only provided one key which meant we couldn’t achieve what we wanted as had to leave together otherwise there would be no power / lights for the other persons "

"I was particularly concerned that my credit card was taken into a separate room at check-in. Most irregular. It is hard to know if the property is being redecorated or just in a permanent state of decline. Cabinetry was falling apart, shower door was unhinged. New bathroom door was 1/2 painted. Windows were filthy. But .... new vinyl, carpet and microwave. Cleaning solution smell was overpowering. Plates were dirty in the cupboards. Don't think I will be staying again."
