PARK RANGER GUEST HOUSE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK
8/10 Good
"Confusion with the Expedia provided contact number for the host. The house wasn't clean and we couldn't find toilet paper and dish detergent and sent note to host but didn't hear back because the number Expedia provided wasn't one he had.
Once we sent a note to him on the email string he sent he, Shawn, was very responsive. Unfortunately that was once we checked out.
Only concerns were inability to find things (toilet paper and dish detergent) and house had pet hair and bugs on the floors so cleanliness was an issue. Would be nice to include washcloths, sheets on all beds and hand towels in bathroom.
Host is remote so he has to rely on local help."
"We really enjoyed our stay in this rustic cabin. The view is spectacular and at night the stars are amazing. The mattress is comfortable and bedding is nice. However, I was not prepared to have to walk 50 yards to the bathroom. The description says 1bedroom/1bath it just doesn’t say where the bath is located. There is also no running water in the cabin. All in all we would have probably still stayed here but it would have been nice to be better prepared. "
"A great place to stay and visit the National Parks close by. Comfortable, with useful amenities. Need to visit the grocery prior to your stay. Dell City is isolated. There is a small grocery and restaurant. Rustic comes to mind. Kelli was a wonderful and helpful host. We enjoyed our stay. "
