「The cottage is small but spotlessly clean, private and comfortable. The lack of a freezer was offset by the ice maker which we used to make ice for the chilly bin when we went out for the day. The washing machine in the shed was perfect! The location is great for a beach walk or a 45 min. drive to get to mountain tracks or Rotokare Scenic Reserve. Stores are a quick 15 minute drive away. 」

「Fantastic location, excellent facilities, clean and in good condition, double glazed windows, warm and cozy on chilly Spring nights. Comfortable bed, lovely linen provided. Great views, while maintaining privacy. Highly recommended. We took our own grocery supplies and soap etc in with us as we knew how far it is from the nearest shops. 」

「Barbwire Bach has everything you need to enjoy its location with the added bonus of having access to their boxing gym. The kids absolutely loved it. Overlooking Opunake Lake and with the beach an enjoyable 3 minute walk away - or longer if the kids want to climb the pohutukawa trees and play on the playground, I have no hesitation in recommending Barbwire Bach and hope to stay again.」
