Cute, quiet and quaint

I would recommend this place to anyone! Such a cute, quaint little spot. Very clean and welcoming. Deb will do anything to make your stay comfortable!

Absolutely perfect rooms. There was a few minor things that needed some handyman work but they were so minor compared to the room and the stay itself. Clean rooms, clean bathroom.

My husband and I had a great time visiting South Dakota the satay was amazing the host was very friendly breakfast was amazing and very tasteful room was clean comfortable. Overall we loved our stay if we travel again to South Dakota we will book out stay again….

An Inn in Pierre I Highly Recommend

This was the perfect place to stay in Pierre. The owner was welcoming, the room was very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.

The property’s outdoors was not kept up, the room temps were hot, no breakfast was served, never met the owner and all the doors leading into the B&B were always unlocked (not safe) Did speak with the owner Deb and we are supposed to get a discount , but she has not connected with me yet

I tried calling owner several times throughout day we were arriving to tell them we were going to be close to end of check in time. No one answered and voice mail box was full so couldn’t leave a message. I messaged the owner thru Expedia as well with no response. We got there and lights were on in the house and in back. I went to front door and thankfully looked down after climbing porch steps as all the porch boards were removed and it was dark so could have been a disaster. The Hitching Horse sign was laying on the ground along the side of the house. Then I walked down and around the back door was unlocked. I yelled inside then walked into house announcing my arrival. There were 4 bedrooms upstairs all the lights were on and the beds had been slept in and not made up. There was a basement with lights on but I did not go down there. So after a long day of driving we had to find another place to stay. Was not a great experience.

The Hitching Horse Inn is easy to find, affordable, and the staff provide a delicious breakfast. It is an older home with many original features which we especially enjoyed.

I enjoyed my stay! The staff was friendly and the place was very clean which greatly appreciated! The breakfast was amazing too! I was so surprised how quiet it was during the night! I would definitely stay again!
