"Great place to stay."

"Let me start by saying I don’t do reviews. Until I came across this dumpster fire I booked. We were arriving late and I had just finished a medical infusion. On arrival, we had no lock code to get in. Lucky that every cabin was unlocked, we looked into “cabin 2” and it was absolutely disgusting. The beds were clearly dirty, damp towels and overflowing trash. We tried several times to reach the host by phone with no answer or voicemail message that confirmed this was even a good number- just a beep and weird road noise that signaling it was time to leave a message. we finally reached the host by text back roughly 30 minutes after arrival. They were rude and had an excuse that the cabin booked last minute by someone else. We received no message or update regarding this. They switched us to cabin 6 and thought it was ok because it was “bigger.” It was just as filthy with bugs in the sheets and window sills. We tripped over weeds knee high to get around the outside and the view from the back window was garbage and disintegrating pallets. We slept in our clothes and on top of the bedding. The beds must have come out of a 1980s yard sale with squeaky springs and made for a sleepless night. Zero stars and I probably have hepatitis from this stay. Be warned."

"The room is not the one we paid for. There is no air conditioning. The heater kept turning on even though it was 78 degrees. The sink was cracked. The toilet seat was not anchored down. Shower curtain does not cover the whole tub so the floor got wet. We were the only guests at the hotel and they didnt give us the lake front room that we paid for."

"The kitchen was not completely equipped, there was a pile of towels on the sofa ,sheets in the laundry room, coffe pot was not washed there was still old coffee from the previous guest, didn't have utensils for he grill.We were understanding about all those things , next day we ask if we could check out 30 minutes later, and instead of being reciprocal and understanding they wanted to charge 100 extra.Being understanding goes both ways."

"Negatives: Certain things about the property made us question whether the cabin was previously cleaned or at best not cleaned thoroughly. The sheets had a few dirt stains on them and the bed sheets did not appear to have been changed. The sheets were wrinkled and the pillows were out of sorts which made us question whether they were previously changed. There were two half used toilet paper rolls on the back of the toilet and an empty roll on the dispenser. Maybe the cleaning crew just forgot to put the new one on, but it just seemed odd. The floor had sand and gravel pebbles throughout. Positives: The original cabin we were booked for was not ready so we were upgraded to a bigger cabin with two separate beds. That was a bonus, and we were charged the lesser price, which we appreciated. It was within walking distance of Pickleville Playhouse, which was on our list of things to do. The cabin was between the beach (6 minute drive) and the town (4 minute drive). The area was quiet, yet on the main drive. Overall, good stay. I think the cleaners need to do a better job, but we really enjoyed our stay. "
