"A beautiful old country house that has been a hotel for many years. It is used by coaches so can be very busy. It needs some TLC. The carpet is worn in places and the paint is chipped.
I arrived too early for check in (1pm) so walked into the village.
I stayed 2 nights. I had dinner the first night and it was good value for the price. The staff in the dining room were attentive and professional.
It’s a 30 minute drive to Inverness but has lovely gardens and is very quiet."
"We had the best time at The Westlands and hope we can come back soon. The hotel location is excellent. There tons of things to do within a 3 to 5 minute walk. You even have the entrance to a trail right across the street, if you want to run or ride a bike. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Rooms have been beautifully renovated recently and are quite spacious."
"Moness was a an overnighter which looked cheap and cheerful.
I booked 2 twin rooms. Both were immaculate, well equipped and stocked with toiletries.
We had dinner in the dining room. Really good food and not extortionate for a hotel. Breakfast was again very good.
We didn’t get a chance to use the pool sadly as we had other commitments but very pleased with the stay. Would recommend"
"Quaint great view from windows big room no ac but windows opened wide and great local downtown near fun bars and shops, had lift but con was there were many steps up to get to room from the lift, had breakfast included"
"The grounds are beautiful. I stayed in a river view room with a balcony: so peaceful and relaxing. The room was very nice, but if your priority is a good mattress and plump pillows, mine were not great. But not terrible either.
The staff are friendly and helpful overall. Scottish breakfast was good. Several large groups moved through in the 4 days I was there, so it became quite bustling."
"Breakfasts only 1 star. Coffee at breakfast bad. Some employees (not front desk staff) were having an argument when we were signing in at the front desk."
