Almost heaven!

Love this property; beautiful views everywhere. The Tiki Bar update was great! Layout of the house is just perfect. Fished off the dock every day and launched kayaks...a heavenly week!

We throughly enjoyed our stay here! The house was absolutely spotless, check in was easy, and kitchen is well appointed. The views are beautiful too. Brian was super responsive and answered all of my questions. Can’t wait to go back!

Perfect location on the water

If you are looking for a serene location close to some of the quaintest little towns in MD, this is the place! Everything that you need is provided. Brian was a great communicator!

We totally enjoyed our stay. Check in easy. We were in Maryland for a wedding, Total family members 4 adults, 2 children and 1 dog perfect accommodations for all of us. We used the hot tub, best part fishing, my grandson caught a nice size cat fish after that we all caught sunnies. Hopefully we can visit again, we had an awesome time. Thank you!

A slice of heaven

The home was a lovely open floor plan with the lovliest of views. Right on the water with a multitude of beautiful birds. As if that is not enough; a bonus of a hot tub right on the deck. Thanks for sharing your river home; hope to rent again!

Beautiful Property, right on the water. We saw multiple types of birds including Bald Eagles and Ospry. The interior was updated, new floors and kitchen counters. Plenty of space for 6 adults. Hot tub was a great addition, clean and HOT! Will definitely return.

Awesome House, Relaxing Stay

Loved my long weekend. I found it so relaxing. House is awesome. Hot tub was such a plus. I brought an inflatable kayak. My niece and I got to enjoy being on the water, which added to the enjoyment. Highly recommend. We found ourselves spending a lot of time at the house! The host was very accommodating, too. Pet friendly, which I love. Hope to return. Think it would be a great place to stay with friends.

Beautiful views. Change cleaning products

This is a spacious, well-appointed house right on the bay with unbeatable views. They used a lot of industrial cleaning agent that smells like a combination of bug spray and gasoline. We had to open windows to circulate the smell out, and one guest still got a headache from the fumes. Switch to a cleaning product that is made for residential spaces and have someone deep clean so there aren't cobwebs and debris in the outdoor spaces/ on the furniture.

Family getaway

The views and location are beautiful. The house needs TLC. The house is not clean. We understand that it is on the water and bugs can not be helped. However, the cobwebs and squished bugs all over the kitchen makes it undesirable to eat in. I am not sure if they are paying for professional cleaning but they should look for other caretakers. They also have limited linens. You have to make your own bed and wash the linens and towels before leaving. Read the reviews and believe them. I overlooked some of the reviews thinking they were taken care of. Other than location we would not rent this house again. Also, the landscaper came at 7:00 in the morning. It’s a little unacceptable while they have renters there.

Loved our stay with 3 kids

The house was a great size and layout for 3 adults and 3 kids (ages 1, 4, 11). It rained the whole weekend but the kids fished off the dock in the rain and swam in the hot tub and it kept them fully entertained. There's tons of perch and even some cat fish and it's easy fishing. Had a hiccup with warming up the hot tub but the owner was quick to respond and help. It might've been our mistake anyways once we realized that the + and - temp buttons do not show the adjustment - you just have to hit + the number of times that you want the temp to increase and then wait for a few hours and you'll gradually see the temp climbing. House was clean and decently stocked. Might need to get some more utensils and wash cloths but there was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent. We will definitely try to come back in nicer weather so the kids can visit one of the little local beaches too. We came to perryville to go to the great wolf lodge for a day but the kids said they liked staying at the house fishing and swimming more.

Property Needs Work

I’ll start first with the positive. Location is great. Neighbors are very nice. View is lovely Now negative. A quick summary - the AC broke and it took several days to fix (it was 86 in the house), the house was quite dirty after the cleaning service left (fans filled with soot, furniture had stains and burns), there was an awful smell of home heating oil in the bedrooms which gave all of us headaches (seems a tank was removed and never properly cleaned up), the sewer backed upon the property, the pots/pans need to be replaced, We spoke with the owner and property manager several times and offered them quite a bit of patience while we were there to remedy the situation. Eventual things got fixed - frankly we left the house cleaner and nicer than we received it. Now a few weeks after we left and multiple attempts with contacting the owner to offer us some return compensation for our poor stay - pure silence... Hence this long review. We could go on with more details but the system doesn't allow it.

I came for vacation, not to do housekeeping!

Pictures on the website are accurate. View is beautiful. Living area was very spacious.We sat on the deck early in the morning and late in the evening.Hot tub was nice.Check-in process was easy. Once inside the house, we were very surprised to find unmade beds with sheets on top that we needed to make, which after a 7 hour trip was not something I wanted to do.We were surprised to find that there were very few towels, especially with a hot tub and we were staying 3 nights. There were NO washcloths to be found. The towels were discolored, mis-matched and had some large stains on them. We decided to wash all of the towels before we used them.Be aware they do not supply bath soap, shampoo, conditioner or a hair dryer (although they did not say they had them on the listing, but they also did not say they DIDN’T supply them). They also only had 2 hand soaps at the sinks (for a 3 bathroom listing).The main bathroom did not even have a waste basket.I do not think the floors in the house had been vacuumed at all as there were actual piles of dirt. I did mention this to the owner and he did advise he would follow-up with the cleaners.The house had an abundance of cleaning products in every closet.I had to totally clean the entire coffee pot before use.The kitchen cabinets were also not very clean. It would have been nice to have some local recommendations.Then the request to wash and dry the sheets prior to leaving is beyond ridiculous. I wouldn’t book again.

The location next to the water is wonderful with beautiful sunrises and the hot tub is very nice. The house has plenty of space with expected amenities. Not a fan of the thick memory foam mattress toppers but know some people like those. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the house is just 10-15 minute drive from town and Havre de Grace. The house was very clean but furniture upholstery could use a good cleaning. All in all it was a nice place and we would stay there again. It would be super fun in warmer weather.

Home Away from Home!

The lake house was spacious and had a beautiful view. The owner had a lot of amenities in the house available, so there was no need to run out for any supplies. Will book again!

Fun long weekend!

Great location! We loved the view , water access , and hot tub. The Tiki bar is a nice touch. The house is very bright and cheerful, with lots of natural light. The kitchen is well laid out, and we enjoyed cooking meals there. It’s a great house! We look forward to possibly returning sometime.
