Exactly as pictured...Totally adorable!!!

My daughter and I stayed here this past weekend. She turned 18 earlier in the month and just committed to a college finally so it was just a little getaway for us but the property is exactly as pictured. Totally adorable!!!! Everything is so clean, quiet and relaxing. No complaints from us whatsoever. We plan on returning for sure!

Weekend away

Cozy location with great views. All processes went smoothly.Turing the car around at the end of the long driveway was a little tough but not terrible - might be harder with a large car or truck.

Great stay!

My husband and I had such a nice, relaxing stay. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch listening to the wildlife. The bed was comfortable. The location is close to everything, yet tucked away and private.

Birthday Trip

We absolutely loved our stay at the Owl Chalet. The location was perfect and very private. I could not take my eyes off the mountain! We spent most of our time on the screened porch and enjoyed the rocking chairs. The beds were cozy and clean. We spotted a friendly red fox in the area. Overall 10/10 and would love to come back!

Perfect Get Away!

Great get away.

What a cozy little surprise this cabin was. Everything you'll need is at your finger tips and town is just a few minutes up the road if you forget something. A great hide away for two or a small family. And if you're thinking about tiny living, rent this cute little place first.

Secluded and scenic

It was great. Enclosed porch was very peaceful. We heard/saw a couple of ravens (which was pretty cool). There was a bird's nest right outside the loft window. Awesome to see the birds go in and out of it in the morning. Great for a getaway with your significant other!

My wife and I had a fantastic time staying in this cabin We absolutely loved it Location is perfect not far from a lot of things to do Although Saturday was a rainy rainy day that didn’t stop us from getting out and doing some things we wanted to do We definitely will book this cabin again

No houses in sight!

The cabin was the perfect size, not to big and it had everything I needed for a get away. I liked the fact there are no other cabins or houses in sight just a view of trees and a valley beyond. The inside is cozy, well decorated and definitely had a log cabin feel. I will be visiting again in warm weather.

Cozy little cabin

The property was beautiful, quaint and quiet. Everything was clean and as pictured. We got a good bit of snow our first night and it was plowed and taken care of right away in the morning. My husband and I would stay again. The only downfall was the size of area to turn around but we were able to achieve it even in our F150.

Lovely Cabin in a Paw Paw Forest

If you like the mountains and the woods, this beautiful cabin is the perfect spot. The porch is so relaxing with a breathtaking view. The inside of the cabin is quaint and comfortable. My friend and I brought our 3 year olds and they loved it too! We brought a kiddie pool and sidewalk chalk which was perfect for the patio. The owner even let us use the amenities and the central area of the property. Complete with mini-golf, outdoor bowling, a lake, bonfire pit, and more. Lots to do on the property itself but we also ventured to Berkeley Springs, WV (about a 25min drive) and Cowan’s Gap Lake and Beach in PA (about a 50-minute drive). Would love to go back to this place!

Nightmare get away

The property was fine. I planned on staying Monday to Thursday but somehow the reservations showed as Tuesday to Friday and I worked Friday. I did'nt realize this until the owners chained off the property when I went to the grocery store because I was there on the wrong date. I had to walk up the mountain and get my belongings and carry everything down to my truck since she gave me an hour to get off the property. There was a big misunderstanding but instead of communicating with me she called the state police. I never was refunded the two nights I was not there since she canceled my reservations. This was a birthday trip planned for my partner. This is one birthday he will never forget. I have emailed the owners about my refund and they won't even respond back.

Had a rough go of it. Some things were not as described

I did not want to write this review, but after the stress, and no action to remedy issues, I wanted to write my actual experience & this cabin is gorgeous! I booked 7 nights while my son was at a camp. I was so excited. 1. The bathroom I was not as described. It’s a stand up shower and toilet. You need to use the sink in the kitchenette area.. Okay, fine, until I was advised I needed to bring drinking water. 🤦‍♀️ The first night, there was a party in the big cabin and I didn’t feel like I could change clothes anywhere in the cabin. The only windows that are covered, are the doors for the porch. There are 7ish windows. No fun. 2. The porch. I loved that porch! I didn’t love the wasp/hornet nest in the corner of the cabin. They’d fly in all day, I killed them, more came back. so it was impossible to relax. . I was so bummed. I contacted the host and alerted them.. They said someone would be out in 15-20 and no one showed. I finally bought wasp and hornet spray, but that made it worse. 3. White TV remote was not there.. I asked about it after the first night. But the host never got back to me, so no tv. No big deal, because I could use Wi-Fi, on my laptop right? Nope! I was working from the cabin and was assured the internet was strong. It was not so I could not work the day before I left (4 days early). 4. Led lights. Cute led chandelier lights stopped working after the first night. I let the host know. I said I’d try to find a battery but couldn’t and they did not follow up. 5. Trash - I was advised AFTER I booked the cabin that someone would leave a trash bin Monday. Also was advised that if I left the trash on the porch, animals would bang my doors in. 🤦‍♀️ No one brought the trash can, and I needed to throw away stuff after 3 nights. I was told the maintenance man would be out the next day because of the holiday. FINE, except he never showed up the next day either. The host stated that he probably got distracted because another group of people made a huge mess of one of the other cabins. This was unacceptable. Excuses were unnecessary. 6. I expect animals to be out at night, make loud noises, etc. I get it, I’m in the woods, alone. There was an extremely loud bang against the side of the cabin after midnight. Terrifying. 6. AC was a safety issue. It required the window to remain ajar so I felt safe 0 times. It also let tons of bugs in. I left 4 days early, I’m disappointed & led to believe I’d have a better experience..
