"The property was spotless, location was perfect, walkable to shops, town etc. street parking we had no issues but might be issues during busy season. Took a minute but figured out the heating, clearer directions would have sorted this out. We were a family of 6 and the property was perfect for us. Kitchen very well equipped, washing machine, had fire place as well. The beds were super cozy. We stayed 3 nights was perfect location to explore the local area. "

"Nice and clean, great location."

"Hotel charges £10 extra to park which wasn’t evident in any communications prior to arrival. On arrival reception insisted we only had the family room booked for 2 people. After insisting I had booked it for 4 people they discovered that it was an error on their systems. Room decor was very dated and worn, toilet cistern leaked, room was incredibly hot, could hear every move of the room/people above - creaking floors, bed and even flushing toilet. On top of that noise from some generator outside our room. Ordered 4 meals for dinner and after 45 minutes only 3 arrived, again an issue with systems, 4th meal arrived after we finished eating with a free drink as an apology. Hotel pool was a plus. We were required to provide a time to attend breakfast the night before although it was buffet style and the restaurant was barely 10% full - I don’t really what to be held to a schedule on holiday. Despite there being a pool I definitely wouldn’t stay there again. A good quiet night sleep is worth a lot more than a swim!"

"Room was small but clean .The view was the best thing about our stay we could see the sea front there was a busy road running by but it was entertaining to people watch and see cars trying to find car parking spaces.It is an old Victorian building so could be a bit noisy at times especially in the evening you could hear people outside"

"The location of the hotel is good and I'm sure the view would be lovely, if you're in the right room. We were placed in the basement, beneath the bar, since we had brought our dog. The building is not well maintained with cracks on the walls, stains on the carpets and a musty smell. It's in desperate need of a deep clean and redecorating. We both slept terribly due to the bed being ridiculously soft, and a constant noise from footsteps and talking in the bar above until 3am, even though the bar is supposed to close at 11pm. We've stayed in many hotels and hostels at a range of prices and never struggle to sleep, apart from here. This was not akin with the price paid, therefore we would not stay again."

"Just back from a 2 night stay at The Royal Victoria Hotel and after having read some very mixed reviews, I didn't really know what to expect, but the place was absolutely fine. Location was literally just across the road from the start if the Llanberis path for Snowdon or the railway if yiu wanted to get the train up. We found the staff, room and breakfast all to be ideal. Our only little downside was the shower tray filled up with water but we let them know when we checked out. I had booked the coach house, but upon arrival found we'd actually been put in the hotel, so was even better. There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room which you could get more of at the reception, an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, fan and a sofa alongside a superking size bed (2 singles pushed together). I would stay there again if I ever went to that area and its the perfect location for sightseeing and climbing Snowdon."

"We understood parking was available on site. This is not the case. Bank Holiday weekend, we were told to try our luck at street parking. Staff in bar were very nice. To be honest, I was violently ill after eating seafood pasta and one glass of wine at the restaurant. Although I was not angling for anything, I thought I should mention it at checkout and was told it takes 24 hours to get sick from the food. ( Not according to my system). The room had great tea/coffee choices and was very clean and quiet."
