Beautiful view of the Hudson River from many of the rooms. Easy to locate and get to and from. Very 'down at the heels' in basic property upkeep. Not one hook to hang a towel or clothes in the bathroom. The mini-fridge and microwave were under the luggage rack/clothes hanger and had to be moved in order to hang our clothes!

The location was very nice, with a view of the river. The building is old, so the sound insulation was poor. We had a bad experience with a neighboring guest, which was not the Inn's fault, but this combined with the noisy refrigerator and AC unit resulted in a very poor nights sleep.

Great views of the Hudson from the second floor. Staff were very friendly. They promised breakfast, but there was none unless you count a botle of water and a snack bar. The name "Inn on the Hudson" conjures images of luxury, but best to think of this a a Motel 6 with a view.

Unfortunately this spot is very loud as it is near the highway and the train. I was woken by both throughout the night. Also the walls are very thin and we could hear the neighbors TV all night and that also contributed to not sleeping much at all.

The condition of the room was substandard with noisy pipes, electrical humming, and noise from outside. The bed was old and the springs were noisy as well. In all, the price was very high for such an outdated accommodation. I will say that the view of the river from right outside my door was beautiful.

There was a musty smell in the room. We tried to air the room out by turning on the AC. It did not work. The nearby train awoke my partner up in the middle of the night. The bathroom looked like it was recently upgraded. The bed was comfortable enough. The view was spectacular, even on cloudy days. We stayed one night. We would stay again but only for another night or two. This is not someplace for a week or extended stay.

I saw reviews and pictures prior to choosing this place. I think my biggest mistake was asking for an early check in, though it was only one hour and 15 min prior to 3 , but, I asked and was told if a room is available. I wound up in room 52 in the back. I drove to back, place had couple cars out front and not one car in back. I went into room and well it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. It was however at time very quiet I thought it will be a quiet night and get some sleep, as haven’t had much due to shoulder surgery. Boy was I beyond wrong. First. All was good till I ran out to grab some food and come back. I decided to take a shower and in bathroom wall looked like someone had blown their nose on the wall and hardened. The exhaust fan looked like it had NEVER been cleaned dust covered thick. But even then I still showered. I came out and was going to relax, watch tv and go to bed, but that’s when the fun began. I started hearing banging, F bombs and first a woman cursing then a guy yelling back. I unlocked the door and still not one car in sight. I closed door and realized it was room 53 next door. I hate assuming things, but after working for Marriott and knowing hospitality and seemed to me these were obviously tenants and obviously sleep all day and up all night, and when I say up all night I mean ALL NIGHT. But hey they finally shut up literally at 8:13 am. $193 night to listen to F bombs and banging.

We had a lovely one-night stay at Inn on the Hudson. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were able to accommodate our early check-in request. The room was not luxurious, but it was clean and comfortable, and included a small refrigerator, microwave and a nice balcony. We could definitely hear a train in the distance now and then, but it did not disturb our sleeping at all. They even returned an item to me that I left behind. We were very happy with our stay here and would stay again.

The staff labeled me as a difficult customer. They, in turn, were hostile. The manager's hours were restricted and not readily available to solve issues. The housekeeping hours are not flexible for travel plans. Snow removal not adequate for parking area. Will not return, even for the good price!

Good spot to crash for the night
Our stay was ok. If you’re looking for a quick stay for the night it’s a good deal. Hotel room definitely not like pics. Chipped paint.. broken furniture etc . Sheets were clean and there were no bed bugs so it worked. Heating system buzzed ALL night so forget about peace and quiet! John- at the front desk was super nice. Breakfast is a brown bag w water, muffin and granola bar. Room is super small. Pictures make it look large and updated. Definitely not the case. Not big enough for a family. Bathroom is tiny. Definitely not good for more than two people. We stayed to avoid driving the turnpike after midnight. The view is nice.
