The hotel is very beautiful, very modern. The architectural details are interesting but not always practical. For example, there are many steps that, on the one hand, are steep, on another hand, are shallow, making walking difficult even for healthy people. As my husband arrived with a recently broken leg, he had very limited chances to enjoy the outside. The view from our room was beautiful though. We met the chef and he is definitely talented but a better dining program would be welcome. With more interaction and (much) better choice of wines. The cocktails were rather good.

Don’t think twice about clicking on and reserving at MÍA Hotel and Resort! Excellent location and service! Our little family of 4 truly enjoyed our stay. While the lagoon and location are absolutely breathtaking, it is the people that made our experience so memorable and wonderful; especially, Andrea “Gong” (Reception); Daniel, Angel and Manuel (Hunab Ku Servers); Ignacio (Pontoon Tour Guide); Alondra (Sip and Paint); and Leydi (Reception). Staff were very friendly, and the property has lots of design details with nature. I will highly recommend the Yoga class and massage sessions with Daniel as I get recovered from a chronic pain in my shoulder after two yoga classes and a massage. I had no mosquitos in my room although I was in the jungle, and I think the property did a great job with mosquitos control around the room. There are some around the reception area though.
