"Great location and a very clean room. The staff, from check-in to check-out, were extremely courteous and helpful. Umbrellas were thoughtfully provided in convenient locations throughout the property, which was especially helpful during the sudden downpours we experienced on a couple of days. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The rooms were conveniently located, making it easy to get around either by walking or using the golf carts, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay."

"The Mariposa Hotel is one of my favorite hotels. Its proximity to the Central Valley and its beautiful ocean views make for a very pleasant stay. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good. Prices at the restaurant are similar to those at restaurants in Manuel Antonio. I will definitely return."

"The room we stayed in was a bit small, but made up for it with a beautiful balcony kitchenette. My children loved seeing animals everywhere, from coatis to iguanas to monkeys. Food prices at the hotel retauraunts were higher than anticipated however, and there weren't any grab and go options for drinks or snacks at reception."

"Diane and her entire staff were fabulous!! The restaurant was amazing! We loved all the friendly pets that were there as well! The turtle shaped pool was one of my favorite things! Cannot say enough good things about this place! We strongly recommend staying here. Great distance to the beach/ocean. Location is off the beaten path, but we loved the secluded area. The property is very well maintained and they have security overnight. Never once concerned about safety. Great location right in between Jaco and Quepos for our adventures outside of the resort. Definitely deserves 5 stars!!"

"The hotel staff was great, they were very welcoming. The room I believe had the nicest balcony and an incredible view, we loved it. The toilets are amazing, they come with a bidet and the seats are warm. The beds were very comfortable and the only noise we heard were the ocean waves. The restaurant below is aesthetically pleasing, great service and the food was very very good. The pool was awesome. There’s also another restaurant above that’s a sushi bar. They gave us different choices for breakfast. We only had two minor incidents: the WiFi didn’t work on our room, hence we had no tv and the main door frame was falling apart. It has secure parking. Although it may not seem like it, it’s family friendly, we went with our 5 year old. We will definitely be coming back!"

"Absolutely amazing stay at Marala Hotel! We booked their best Premium Suite, and it was 100% worth the splurge. The property is gorgeous, peaceful, beautifully maintained, and made our Costa Rica trip feel extra special. The suite itself was incredible and absolutely lived up to the premium experience. One tip: having a car in Costa Rica is a must! We had a 4WD truck, which made exploring so much easier and gave us the freedom to go wherever we wanted. Beautiful property, incredible suite, and an unforgettable stay. I would absolutely return, and highly recommend treating yourself to the Premium Suite. Worth every penny!"
