Mucho ruido y música en alta voz hasta la madrugada. Actividades nocturnas en la azotea terraza. No hay paneles acústicos que minimizen el ruido. Asiste mucha gente (no huespedes) que dejan sucio el elevador y las areas comunes huelen mal. La recepción cierra temprano en la noche.

Great Stay in Old Town
Great stay in Casco Viejo. The Casa Antigua is in a great location, has large well maintained rooms and the staff was on point. Franco works the front desk in the evenings and is a big help if you need anything, new remote, lock help, local spots to try, etc.. Would have no issues going back next time i'm in PC.

I loved the location. It has a nice rooftop bar and a good restaurant downstairs. Some of the rooms have incredible views.

It was a really great stay. The only negative was that we could hear the rooftop bar quite late at night. Otherwise it was a beautiful hotel in a cool area.

Excellent location in Old Town but noisy at night due to locale and a rooftop bar. Bring earplugs! Staff were really friendly and helpful.

To our surprise, while checking in we were informed that we booked 2 rooms. It was very weird as the manager kept insisting that we were going to pay for 2 rooms. It was only me and my wife and I assured manager that we had only booked one room. Trying to not be confrontational in a foreign country, I told the manager I'd work it out with Expedia. On the same day in Sept 2019, we booked our full Panama trip, including the plane tickets to & from Panama, a separate hotel for the 1st part, another plane ticket to and from David and then a booking at Casa Antigua for the last 2 days of our trip. Towards the end of December 2019, an additional room was booked at Casa Antigua, of which we did not make & received no email notice that it was. We wouldn't have made this booking because it was just me and my wife traveling and we had our trip fully booked back in September. We tried to call Expedia from Panama, but the company does not accept 800 calls internationally and the chat option resulted in no response. Once we returned to the US, we called Expedia and customer service did send a wavier request to the hotel. It's been 10 days since starting the process and Expedia can not get a response from the hotel. Its a bit frustrating because the hotel appeared to be empty (the second "booked" room wasn't preventing the hotel from renting) and both times to the roof top bar resulted in us leaving because no one was up there. Very disappointed...best to book somewhere else.

Good afternoon, dear customer, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused But it was not the fault of the hotel that problem, we told you that you had two reservations paid directly to expedia and we told that you have to call them to see if it was a problem of them or of you at the time of reservation. the reservations one was the December 28, 2019 and the other on September 10, 2019. Both reservations to do the check in on January 21 You were upset about this and what we were trying to do was help you and even ask you if your card was charged and you said no Best regards

Always enjoy Hotel Casco Antigua
We really like the location, the staff are nice and rooms comfortable. It is an old building which is eclectic but if soon money spent on minor repairs could be much nicer. Suites with balcony overlooking casco very fun. New elevator very appreciated and rooftop bar has great views. Basic breakfast tasty. Valet parking a bonus and cheap.

Water issue on our second night
Unfortunately on our second night. There is no water in the room. The front desk is closed. We need to wait till morning before the issue can be settled. Phoned the front desk around 7:45am. Answer back the handyman is coming at 8:30am. Talk to the cleaner of the room around 8am. Water start to come out for only for an hour and loss again. Phoned again the front desk and said there is an issue with water tank and water pressure. We are catching a flight that day and its very unfortunate for us. Can it be preventable? Of course yes.

A Hotel with excellent view but a little loud!

The location in the old section of the city was good. The property, as with all properties in the area, was renovated and in reasonably good condition. The unit was apartment style with main floor bath and loft bedroom with bath. We used only the lower bath which only had hot water for a few minutes if at all. Also, curiously, the bath had a window to the hallway near the elevator which we had to block the view. The second day the lower bath had to no bath towels. The air conditioner in the bedroom blew directly onto the bed which made the temperature and comfort of the room difficult to manage. Staff was nice and friendly but only available from 2-8. Other than the odd issues, which were not deal breakers, our stay was okay.

Very friendly staff, great location, huge 1 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with full kitchen, balcony with spectacular views. Great rooftop bar. Could be a little cleaner, but i am not the kind of person that complains about dust here and there. Overall i would recommend it

Ok - Need to work on customer service
Before reading the below it does appear that the owners are upgrading a lot of this building, so some of the below may be resolved in near future. Pros - The Place was spacious and the location is great. Cons - The nightclub next door may keep you up if you’re a light sleeper. The bed may also do that, suspect it’s a very old mattress. Our room had 2 showers and they couldn’t get the hot water working on either. They attempted to fix it but couldn’t get it working properly. No compensation or discounts offered. Even charged $10 USD for washing after they couldn’t fix the hot water.

This property is in an excellent location, close to the old town, which is a very busy night life area. There is a roof top bar and dance venue in the building. Hence there is nightly is partying! So beware there is music and noise! The room is clean and nicely laid out. The staff is very friendly and professional. They were willing to help. I would stay here again.

This hotel was under construction, which we knew before we went, but we did not know the extent to which it was under construction. The rooms (we tried two) certainly did not look like anything in the picture. The A/C in the first room (top floor, no elevator) had an incredibly annoying whine. The second room was a suite, but kind of odd and not really finished. The staff were very nice and accommodating but no one was there after hours. It is located in Casco Viejo which is COMPLETELY under renovation...the beginnings of renovation, I would say, so everything is torn up. There are some newish restaurants but they are geared toward younger people than ourselves and rather expensive for what you get. Plus there are clearly areas that are not safe.

There was construction that woke me up at 8:30 am, It sounded like at hammer drill being used in my bedroom. They said no construction on weekend but next day at 8:30 again they offloaded A bunch of steel I beams. Nice being in old town but better to stay at Hyatt or Marriott for much cheaper and just take Uber to old town.

Good value and amazing location but the chairs in our room were broken and the top floor balcony that was hyped up on the brochure was dirty and there were literal broken dirty toilets stacked up next to where we were thinking about eating breakfast

The place was nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The problem is the area is all under renovation including their restaurant. Breakfast fast included but it was supposed to start at 8 am, already quite late, but they didn't open till after 8:30 and had very few options available. Also the service at the restaurant was not very good. We were offered shuttle service to and from the airport, the first ride worked fine but on the way back the driver disappeared and nobody could find him. We were left standing outside waiting for 20 minutes. Wifi was not working either. Overall was ok but needs some improvements.

Disappointing below the surface
Introduction to staff was pleasing and genuine. There was no working Wi-Fi during our stay and understandable that does happen in hotels albeit rarely. Upon entry to our "cleaned" room there was someone's underwear on the floor. It was quickly removed. However, that sight cast doubt as to how well the room was cleaned. After returning (9 pm) from some sightseeing we were provided upon request a cold breakfast (with ground coffee) as we were leaving the next morning @ 6:30 am. We retired to sleep @ 11pm and discovered the plugged-in TV did not work (to tired to call desk) The next morning we could not enjoy the coffee provided as there were no filters make coffee using the coffee maker. There were not even cups. I am very tolerant of inconveniences but felt this report justified as we entered our room under the impression that some sort of check list is being implemented. The guest should not have to verify the TV works or have to open cupboards checking if needed supplies are there or not. Sometimes these things are noticed late and I believe at least some guests after traveling long distances don't desire to make issues when all they want is to received what was advertised. I understand management offers apologies or even rebuttals to reports as this one but I wish neither. Learn to sweat the details and they will come :-)

Great staff, great location
The hotel looks a bit like a hostel from the outside but the rooms are amazing, clean, and spacious. Located at the entrance of casco viejo, there are some great things to see at a walking distance. As the name states it's an older style hotel but still very beautiful. The staff were also super helpful with restaurant recommendations, etc.

Great hotel, horrible sleep
Great place, great location, great staff! Unfortunately our room was above the restaurant which pumped/blared music every night until 3am. Would stay there again if I knew I could actually get some sleep!

Professionally renovated older building with some minor quirks.. Great location, friendly & knowledgeable staff. Room 5 has rooftop access with fantastic view.. Hotel has elevator. Hotel best described as a boutique B&B. Room 5 & 2 are loft style rooms with stairs to upper sleeping area.

TOO NOISY!
This hotel is above a disco, and the music goes until 4 a.m. Don't plan to sleep. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, but all the good is outweighed by lack of sleep.

Great facilities. Lots of space. Great views from private balcony. Excellent facilities in room. Full Kitchen, big lounge , upstairs bedroom and bathroom and downstairs bathroom. Only negative was no TV in lounge. TV was upstairs in bedroom. Good TV with good cable selection of English channels, but why is there no TV downstairs in the lounge? The staff were very nice and helpful. Cold breakfast supplied Saturday night for Sunday as restaurant closed. A good breakfast with fruit, yogurt and toast. On Monday the cooked restaurant breakfast was cooked to order. It was good and quick. The location in the old town is very good, only negative was loud music on Saturday from nearby club/bar. Sunday was peaceful.

The location is superb and near many bars and restaurants. Be ready to take your luggage up/down some stairs as it is an old building and the elevator services the main area. I left before the breakfast was served both days, but they gave me a very hearty breakfast the night before which was extremely wonderful. The shower was massive as was the bathroom. Very comfortable bed and perfectly working air conditioning!

I was traveling alone and chose this hotel based on its location in Casco Antiguo and the positive reviews. It lived up to and exceeded my expectations. The staff are all excited kind and helpful and the hotel itself felt very safe. I felt very well taken care of, as well. You can hear the happenings of nearby restaurants and nightlife, but that's no secret from other reviews. I brought earplugs in case, but was so tired from exploring all day I didn't use them. They have bikes available, which I used to ride on the Cinta Costera. What a wonderful time! The hotel also offered pick up from and drop off at the airport for a comparable price to Uber. Both drivers were professional, kind, and friendly. Because my flight out was so early, before the official hotel breakfast time, they brought me a wonderful spread of breakfast to put in my fridge the night before. I would choose to stay there again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful spot in Casco Viejo!
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Casa Antigua! The staff were very friendly and efficient during the check-in process and throughout our stay. The location was great - very close to shops and restaurants, and the view from the balcony of the suite was beautiful. The suite was very spacious, and had a full kitchen and two bathrooms. Breakfast was included and was in the restaurant next door, and we were very pleased with our meal. It would have been great to stay here for longer than one night! I would definitely come back if we visit Casco Viejo again.
