We returned to the villa so we knew what we were getting. The views are absolutely spectacular and no photo fully does them justice. Ana who manages the house is great and made the check in and departure very easy. Ana also arranged for local ladies to come in and cook Portuguese food, which was amazing. I would higly recommend the property as a place.from which to explore the lovely beaches nearby. The food is well equipped and there's lots of space for coffee, reading, eating, BBQ, table tennis,swimming and drinks. The upper roof terrace is a great place for sunset drinks and the view towards Lisbon is wonderful. There's also easy access.to a local supermarket. Great place for large group.

Experiencia familiar maravillosa

La Villa reúne todas las condiciones para que un grupo disfrute de ella. Está situada en un entorno natural maravilloso. Está próxima a espacios naturales espectaculares. Se puede hacer deporte, pasear, ....Internamente la Villa está muy bien diseñada para disfrutar de ella, y tiene todas las comodidades que se necesitan. Por poner dos peros; el primero es que al comenzar la estancia y si hace frío, cuesta un poco en convertir el ambiente en confortable. Con el tiempo se consigue. El segundo es que el camino de entrada, de unos 2,2 Kms, es de tierra y hay que circular con precaución.

Great for a week with large family

Well furnished. Property managers very helpfull. Property would benefit from a more uniform heating sysytem..our visit was the end of December. Detailed maos of ingress and exgress would be helpfull..not for the faint of heart. That all being said we had a wonderful visit to Lisbon, Setubal and the surrouns.

Stunning views, beautiful house, let down by cleanliness

If you are looking for somewhere peaceful and with stunning views then this property would be hard to beat. Fantastic views from beaches of Costa de Gale to the hills of Sintra on a clear day. Our host Ana Maria was very friendly, accommodating and responsive, letting us check in early when we arrived because she was able to accommodate. Can only give 3 stars however because as beautiful as the property is, while its generally clean on the surface, it hasn't gotten the level of care or maintenance it needs for a better rating considering the cost. The walls inside are all white and some looked grotty like they hadn’t been painted in years. Some of the furniture wasn't much better. Chair pillows and covers had dirt stains, patio furniture was old, dirty and stained from sitting out in the elements and not getting proper cleaning or maintenance in between stays. The water is from a natural well full so calcium build up in all the bathrooms, something avoided with appropriate level of upkeep. Some of the furniture inside was actually broken or damaged and would look better if it was just removed. Be prepared for insects too. Dishwasher wouldn’t drain. 2 hot tub treatments/cleanings included in expensive price for hot tub but never happened. Nothing to do in the local village either if you are looking for proximity to something charming or nice bars/restaurants. Also, traffic through Lisbon to sites north or west can be bad. Overall, place should be 5 star with better care.

Golden wedding family celebration

The property was amazing and suited all our needs. We're a family of 19 with ages ranging from 9 - 76. Everything was perfect: the bedrooms, pool, outdoor and indoor spaces. We had such fun. A great location too.

Holiday for my whole family

We had a really good stay. We enjoyed the pool, enough room for all of us, being in a quit place and the posibility for a cooker. Being in such secluded place required driving a gravel road and it all ways to a while to get anywhere. It didn't bother us that much.

Beautiful, but not what we thought

There's no doubt that the location is breathtaking, but it was much farther from everything than we thought. Lisbon wasn't 35 minutes, it was 1h15m each time we went (due to traffic), and that included off times of the day. Gilapinhos Beach was incredible, but it also took 35 minutes to get there. The house itself was nice and Ana was very quick and responsive, though sadly, she needed to be because the house is in need of a new dishwasher, oven and stove. Finally, the humidity prevents anything from ever drying, which makes you feel dirty all the time. All of the bed linens and towels were always musty and there was no dryer. We enjoyed the views of the house, wish we would have been closer to Lisbon, and were very excited to go home, take a shower, and sleep in clean sheets.

Résidence de rêve!

Superbe maison. Très spacieuse avec ses 9 chambres. Nous étions 14 adultes et nous avions amplement d’espace pour tous et chacun. Nous avons profité des talents culinaires de Maria Helena et de Ana à 5 reprises pour notre plus grand bonheur. Elles sont super gentilles. Nous les avons adorées. Notre hôtesse Ana est également très gentille et toujours prête à répondre à nos différents besoins ou demandes. Merci de tout coeur pour cette grande disponibilité!

Amazing villa but needs accurate description

The Villa was beautiful and the views are absolutely 💯 amazing. It is also very spacious and plenty of space for our family a total of 18 of us. Important Missed points the Villa needs to add on description for large groups You need a car or van to transport you on & off the Villa. *Spent FORTUNE on taxis ( we didn’t budget for) * Nothing in walking distance, beach, shops etc.. ( main road to little town is 45/50 mins one way). * The road to Villa is way too rough for ordinary car. * Uber drivers would not come up the road is not paved. *Taxi to Lisbon one way €55 * rubbish from the house and recycle on had to be taken to main road. 45 min walk. * Camera inside Villa( not informed) * maintenance man did not announce when he would attended (uncomfortable and disruptive). * Lost WiFi to the Villa and water for an entire evening fixed next day at 12pm. *Louis taxi service was great. *One of our taxi driver Paula was amazing.

Vacances d’été

Magnifique maison avec vue splendide! Le chemin pour y accéder est surprenant et à première vu il semble infranchissable mais après quelques aller-retours on s’y fait ;) L’équipement dans la maison est complet et on y manque de rien et elle est parfaite pour accueillir un grand groupe, petits, grands et ados. The villa has magnificent views including sunrise , sunset and the villages below, the ocean and mountain ranges. Clean and plenty of space for my family and friends total of 19. Most of all Ana was very accommodating and flexible that had made our vacation a memorable one and every one had a great time. She made it possible and a very good choice to celebrate my birthday at the castelo de Palmela, The location is close to amenities and the beaches. Thank you very much Ana. Beautiful for large group

We had 5 families stay in this home - it was great accommodations and space! Ana and her husband took great care of us making wonderful recommedations for dinner and beaches. It is a bit of drive to Lisbon but the scenery is gorgeous, the nearby town very cute and accessible and the beaches in Arribida - wonderful!

Beautiful Home.

The views took my breath away every day! There was plenty of room for everyone. Anna recommended a private chef that came and cooked us all dinner and it was amazing!! The pool was refreshing and it got super hot so we needed it!! All around fantastic week

Wonderful and relaxing

We were a group of 12 family members ranging in age from 12 to 73. The house was such a lovely space for us all to relax and enjoy each other. The views are even more amazing than the pictures. In early June the weather was just about perfect. The host, Ana, was so kind and helpful. She arranged for cooks to come make traditional food for us and it made for such a wonderful evening for us all. The house is close enough for day trips to Lisbon and the beach. The local wineries were wonderful to visit as well. If you want a vacation where you can simply relax and also take day trips into the city, I highly recommend this house for a large group. You must have a car to get to the property. It is a little tricky to get to the house the first time, it requires driving some steep gravel roads. But, once you know how to get there it is easy. There are also lots of hiking trails directly from the house for exploring the mountain. If you are a mountain biker, this house is perfect for you as mountain bikers were plentiful (but not annoying) on the roads and trails around the house. I hope to come back again one day.

Perfect Location

We stayed here to celebrate some birthdays, and have to say that the location is absolute superb! 40 minutes from Central Location, with stunning views, bordering a national park and a short drive from some gorgeous beaches, it really couldn’t be any better. The apartment itself is spacious and fit 20 of us well for sleeping and eating, and the pool clean with a fabulous view. Thank you Ana and the hosts, we’ll certainly be back!

Best vacation ever

We stayed at the villa to celebrate anniversary, friends came from different parts of the world. The villa is perfect for a large group: max 1 bathrooms per 2 families, a lot of privacy, long table to sit comfortably 18 people, enough chairs at the pool… simply perfect! The view is gorgeous! With Ana’s 24/7 help it made it best vacation ever. She really knows what you need before you even thought about it 😃. Located on a hill and secluded area, consider having a car but if not - Ana can help arranging transportation. We managed with one car to be able to get groceries. We hope to be back!!

Traumhaus

Ein Traum von Haus mit super schöner Aussicht und komplett ausgestattet. Die Lage ist auf einem Berg, die nur per Schotterstraße erreicht werden kann. Der Ausblick ist perfekt. Man kann in alle Himmelsrichtungen Wasser sehen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wonderful Amazingly Hosted Villa with Incredible Views

Family Reunion

Familienurlaub in der Villa

Wir haben hier unseren Familienurlaub mit 12 Erwachsenen, 7 Kindern und einem Baby verbracht. Die Villa bietet alles um einen fantastischen Aufenthalt zu gewährleisten. Der Pool wurde täglich genutzt und der Ausblick ist wunderbar. Die Gastgeber Ana und Antonio waren jederzeit ansprechbar und haben gute Tipps für den Urlaub gegeben. Sehr empfehlenswert.
