"the owners of the property could not do enough and were must charming. Carlo and Paola work so terribly hard but always ready to talk and smile with the guests. It is very much a family hotel with the gentle Nonna always about to help if she can. But to the main reason this hotel was chosen was because of Carlo's wonderful cooking. "Villa San Lorenzo is an absolutely stunning villa. We were 4 couples staying in the main house, and each suite was spacious and comfortable with its own ensuite bathroom with large walk-in showers. The renovations are spectacular from the moment you walk in the door; two storey floor to ceiling windows off the dining room on the main floor and living room on the second floor. The huge kitchen is fully equipped with absolutely everything you need to prepare meals, with new appliances, more dishes than you’ll ever need, and again, the renovation is beautiful. The grounds outside are lovely and well maintained and the pool is very inviting. Unfortunately we were there in October and so did not have the courage to use it! We also loved the location - very private and peaceful, yet close to wineries and areas we wanted to visit. Wifi was perfect throughout the villa for those of us who had to do some work while away. Clay and Erika were fantastic to work with in planning our time at San Lorenzo as well as being available 24/7 during our stay. Erika was delightful, and greeted us upon our arrival with a lovely cake, a bottle of local and delicious olive oil, and freshly baked bread. We all loved our time here and highly recommend it. You will love the villa, as well as the very personal touch that Clay and Erika add to it. "
