「Absolutely worth it for the wolf chalets! We stayed with 3 kids, the couch is wide enough to sleep even though it doesn’t pull out. We stayed in the arctic wolves chalet which is farther to the side and has no balcony. The wolves circle the area regularly, sometimes alone, sometimes together. You will see them plenty. 「My wife and I were doing a meandering drive from Ottawa to Montreal. We made a last-minute decision to stay here, grabbing the last room available. We knew it was a remote location, so our expectations were not high.
Owner Dominic, however, has created a jewel along the Ontario side of the Ottawa River that I highly recommend for lodging and, more importantly, the food!
The property used to be solely a restaurant, but post-pandemic, Dominic and his brother decided to turn the third generation...
「Our room was very clean and the bathroom was also clean. Most most important to us. We had a fridge which was a nice option. Coffee was in the room but the hotel had a nice breakfast including boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, breads, muffins, juice and a nice coffee machine that offers a variety of hot beverages. Would stay here again without hesitation 」
「First, the hotel offers a basic but quality breakfast that includes bread, fruit, cereal, French fries, scrambled eggs, and a variety of drinks. The view of the streets from the rooms and balconies is lovely. The hotel is adjacent to downtown Ottawa, so you can visit the Byward Market, Parliament Hill, the University of Ottawa, etc easily on foot. This hotel was perfect for me.」
