"Very nice amenities and great view! Unfortunately, when we arrived, we didn’t know which home we were staying in. We just tried the pin at each of the lockboxes until it worked. It was later that we realized each of the homes had a different name (Pool, Sauna, Garden, etc.) The hot springs tub was lovely and my kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. "The Fairfield by Marriott in Aso is a very comfortable hotel like the Fairfield in Nikko where my wife and I staid before. The rooms are clean, modern and with a lot of light coming in through a big window; comfortable enough that on a rainy day we decided to stay in the room almost all day. Personnel at the reception is very friendly and helpful.The restaurant selection in the area is not the greatest but there is a Lawson Station shop nearby. Additionally the hotel offers free coffee, tea etc. and sells some food items which can be heated in microwaves if necessary. The Fairfield is located near the local train station and has sufficient parking space if you come by car. "
