Everything was great. Only problem was our air conditioning wasn’t working and it was super hot that day and night. Did complain about it, as it was so late when we checked in they couldn’t do anything. Staff were kind and helpful. Would stay here again next time, hopefully the air conditioning will work.

Great location between the cathedral and the market in the old town with all the amazing cafes, shops and historical sites to offer…. and just a 30 minute walk to the Guggenheim through the new town. Super little hotel with friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast offering a range of freshly made hot and cold dishes. Room was a big snug with limited hanging space but clean, cool and everything worked.

Great location, close to many important places. Ideal for exploring the city on foot.

Hotel is in a great location. AC worked great and room was clean. That’s about the only positive thing. It’s a very old hotel that was semi remodeled. The bathroom were redone and look modern however the shower door didn’t close all the way and water was all over the floor. The bed was ‘newish’ and comfortable. The furniture in the room was old and all scuffed. The room had a weird smell. We had a huge beam in the middle of the room. They did have a safe and a small fridge and 2 bottles of complimentary water. The floors were squeaky so we could hear the people in the room above us walking back and forth along with the folks in the hallway. The baseboards looked like puzzle pieces just thrown together. Breakfast was available but €29 for 2 people so we opted out. I tried to go to the 6th floor to check out the restaurant and lounge but it was closed for construction - so not sure if I had paid for breakfast where I could have eaten. Parking is underground public parking garage 5 minute walk away for €20 a day and the hotel gave us a voucher for 10% off. The hotel staff was not very friendly. Bilbao was a nice city but I don’t plan to return, but if I did I def would not stay there again.

I've never known friendlier or more helpful front desk staff than at this hotel. We stayed in a junior suite with a view of the Guggenheim, which was a lovely way to watch the sun go down. The suite is very spacious for two, air conditioned, has an L-shaped sofa, separate hallway, and large bathroom. Design is elegant modern, all pleasant smelling & very quiet. Staff were helpful in letting us store our luggage on site before and after our reservation time. They also did their best to give us early access to our room since we let them know in advance that our flight arrived in the morning. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and they surprised us with a complimentary bottle of cava and a dessert plate the afternoon we arrived. The hotel is very well situated for accessing the Guggenheim and the modern art museum (which is currently free because part of it is undergoing renovation). There we saw art by many artists of Basque origin as well as international ones. The day we left, one front desk staff called a taxi for us, and the driver knew to come into the hotel and look for us when he arrived. Breakfast is not the absolute best, but it's relatively inexpensive (compared to other hotels) and has some winning offerings like fresh detox juice (along with the standard juices), made-to-order omelets, and a variety of yogurts, fruits, breads, milks, etc. There were even some gluten-free options (ask for gluten-free bread if you need it). This was the nicest hotel stay of my life :)
