4 bedroom townhome

The property was comfortable. Leather coach and tile floors. Tv connections could not be utilized we could not find the router to be able to reset so no tv for us but there are 3 tv available .We utilized the lazy river each day we were not at wide world of sports.

We had a great stay at this house. It was a good location, had all basic needs covered and the management company did a great job with communication. The kids loved having their own personal pool. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for the whole family to relax. The clubhouse was a huge plus.

Mixed feelings

Starting with the good- property is managed by Wonder Vacation Homes and as the member of our party who made the reservation, I was pleased with how easy it was to communicate with the manager before and during our stay via the guest portal. The location is great. It was mostly quiet except for a few nights when people in the townhome behind us were up past midnight outside with little kids and they were so loud. I would assume they were vacationing also but shouldn’t there be a noise ordinance or something? It’s a quick drive to Disney or Universal and very close to shopping and several restaurants. The clubhouse is very nice and we enjoyed swimming there several times. The townhouse was nice and spacious and the pool is perfect for an end-of-day dip. The cons: The carpet is gross. I don’t know if it’s cleaned ever but it probably should just be replaced (maybe with a berber carpet?). It was crunchy to walk on. The two rooms that have the double beds where my kids slept had no furniture to put anything on and so their stuff had to go on the floor *shudder*. There is a sign that asks the guests to not wear their shoes in the house. I wonder if people go barefoot instead (gross). We kept our socks on for sure. The house hardly has any amenities. I have stayed in many rental homes and have never seen a place so bare. No washcloths, no salt and pepper, only one soap packet for the dishwasher and one for the washing machine. Maybe they can blame Covid but I’ve still seen more amenities in a hotel in recent months. We stayed two weeks and we had to buy TP, garbage bags, laundry soap, several kitchen staples, washcloths. I’ve never had to buy all that stuff before in a rental vacation home. Not Even during this “pandemic”. We had to buy drinking water because the tap water was gross and the refrigerator said the filter was 99 days overdue. I asked management about it and they sent someone over to check and said it was fine. So I had to take a picture of the fridge displaying the message to prove it. They came back and took the filter out and never replaced it. The refrigerator also wasn’t cold enough. We tried to adjust the temperature but it didn’t make any difference. Someone was sent to check that and they said that was fine too. Our gallon of milk curdled after 6 days & was still 2 weeks ahead of the Best By date. The baseboards & walls are filthy. The place really needs a good deep clean and a little more attention and it would be fine.

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN OUR STAY!

Our stay started out bad from the beginning. We wanted to arrive earlier but was told they need extra time to clean the unit due to COVID restrictions. When we arrived they were just cleaning our condo. This was just the beginning of multiple issues with WONDER VACATION. We tried contacting Bruno and leaving messages regarding our concerns The code to enter wouldn’t work. We messaged and called the numbers provided. No one called us back. Just received a generic reply saying a property manager would get with us soon. We waited over 1 1/2 hours to hear anything. Finally we got in the condo at 5:45p.m. The condo was not as pictured on VRBO. The fully stocked kitchen had no mixing bowls, three very dull knives, the pots and pans were disgusting and dirty. I had to purchase a set to cook with during our stay. As we planned to just enjoy staying on the grounds, enjoying the pool and amenities this was very disappointing. We repeatedly tried contacting Wonder Vacations but only received the same generic reply. We paid a cleaning fee and the unit wasn’t clean. I cleaned and disinfected everything before unpacking. The refrigerator needed to be wiped out. There was a piece of carpet under the ottoman that was filthy. It hadn’t been vacuumed or the floor cleaned under it. I rolled it up and put it under the sectional. The leather sectional needed to be wiped and vacuumed behind. The vertical blinds were missing pieces making it difficult to open and shut. There was a note going upstairs to remove your shoes to keep the carpet clean. We did this as requested but out feet showed I’m how dirty it was. The pool was cloudy, water was below the skimmer and the water was not circulating. We have a pool so we contacted Bruno again. No response or help. Finally called the pool company and reported the problems. We requested the pool to be heated upon arrival on Friday March 26 the day of our arrival. We messaged again and told them to refund the daily fee. They ignored us. It started heating on Tuesday, five days into our stay. The gas grill was another expense that we paid for. The regulator was leaking and quit working. It was used twice. Finally contacted VRBO. They kindly offered to move us to another unit. We should have called them sooner. It would have been much easier. However, we had already cleaned, bought groceries for 8 days and we’re leaving in a few days. Lesson learned to call VRBO ASAP!
