I've been staying at the Conservatorium regularly for 12 years now, and it is remarkably consistent: great location, awesome people, striking architecture, and the best gym of all the 5-star hotels in Amsterdam. This year, though, there was one welcome change and one not-so-great one: the breakfast has improved, with the addition of a buffet, which is convenient. But they also seem to have started letting local residents use the gym, so it's now super-packed at all hours, and you have to wait for machines. The gym has always been a big part of why I stayed there, so that's disappointing.

Lovely hotel on a lovely property. Very quiet and comfortable. We had a junior suite and it was spacious and perfect for relaxing. The restaurant was quite good, and we truly enjoyed our meals there.

This is a RAMADA hotel. The sign outside says Ramada, so it definitely should not be listed on Expedia as Sunday until the conversion is complete. Same with the picture of the hotel front, which leads someone to second-guess whether they are at the correct hotel on arrival. It is by the airport but in a very secluded neighborhood. Also, there is a fee for the hotel shuttle. It's an older building and ok for the cost if you plan to just stay for a pending flight.
