This two-bedroom, 1 bathroom home is conveniently located within walking distance of Opotiki’s historic CBD. It’s perfect for those wishing to experience all that the Eastern Bay has to offer, cycle trails, fishing, boating, swimming.
The comfy cottage is presented as a step back in time, where you can listen to your LPs, cassettes, and video tapes. Furniture and fittings are retro and designed to create flashbacks to a bygone era.
Property boasts a large lawn and covered verandahs, making it ideal for bbqs and outdoor living all year round.
Ideally sleeps 4 – 6 with a double sofa bed in the lounge.
Smoking is permitted outside.
This property is situated close to the cycling trails that Opotiki is becoming well known for. The Dunes Trail, Motu Trail Ride and also the Pakihi Trail. Opotiki township has historic buildings including churches and is a stopover on the way around the East Coast.

Fantastic Location
Great property, loved the retro theme, well equipped with even everything a home would need, right down to board games and outdoor sport equipment. No Wifi.

My work team enjoyed their stay at the property.
The kitchen utensils etc needed to be washed before we could use anything. Other than that a nice tidy Home.

The house was comfortable and cool. We loved all the Knick knacks around the house. There’s a good sized section in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood

Time out in Opotiki
We stayed at the Retro Cottage straight after Christmas for 8 nights. Very tidy property right in the heart of Opotiki. Property was exactly as shown/described - it is a little bit of kiwi suburbia, but cute. Pleasant stay. Enjoyed 4 good rounds of golf at the Opotiki Golf club, lots of good walks, trips to Ohope. Understand now that the property is not for pets, which is good, a it was not fenced and the dogs are BIG in Opotiki. Communication was clear/fast. Lovely little spot for a few days.
