「It is a simple but beautiful accommodation in chill neighborhood」

「We chose Hotel Montegrino Lake View largely because of the Expedia photographs and reviews, which created an impression of a modern hotel with good facilities and beautiful views. Unfortunately, our experience was very different. To be fair, our room was clean and the lake view from the balcony was lovely. However, the hotel itself was very basic, dated and tired, with little décor or comfort. There was no shower gel or hand soap, and the bedding consisted of sheets and an old brown blanket...

「Sehr saubere und gepflegte Unterkunft. Personal war bei Anreise extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit . Schöner Bauhausstil und tolle Aussicht auf den See. Zu Fuß vom Ufer gut erreichbar, aber steiler Aufstieg über die Treppen. Mit dem Auto nur wenige Minuten. Frühstück auf der Terasse war sehr schön!」

「For the Locarno Film Festival, the location was excellent with both free city buses and the festival shuttle coming right in front of the hotel. Rooms were in excellent shape, and the breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful and very friendly!」

「Wonderful stay in Varzo! Lovely mother and daughter hosts. Delicious homemade breakfast and very comfortable room with a nice view. Right down the hill from San Domenico ski area with excellent scenic hiking. Would recommend Chalet Il Picchio to all!」
