"Maria was exceptionally helpful throughout our 2 week stay at Casa Madreu, and was interested in where we had explored and offerred suggestions which were much appreciated. We went on long walks (6-7 hours) most days, and at the end of the day we always went swimming either at one of the lovely beaches n the coast, or in some beautiful pools in the nearby river. From here, we were able to appreciate the mountains, and the east coast (Gologone) was only 35 minutes away. The host was wonderful and recommended the restaurant, Sa Horte De Su Poeta, and it was one of the best experiences of our month-long visit to Sardinia."

"A modern, thoughtfully designed property on a hilltop overlooking Nuoro. The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful with a small problem that I had. The rooms were modern and comfortable. One issue that we found everywhere in Sardinia is that the rooms don't have enough electrical outlets, making it a bit of a hassle to charge personal devices. The breakfast was fine in a room with a great view overlooking the town. One plus, during the off-season, is that there are enough travelers for business, so the property offers the full range of services. At other properties in the off-season, the lack of guests can result in limited services. Also, excellent parking. Definitely recommend for car travelers. Because it is located 2 km from the city center, it may be a hassle for persons who don't have a car, although there is good municipal bus service accessible about a five minute walk distant."
