Charming 3-bedroom cottage on Lake Ogemaw in West Branch, Michigan

"Nice vibes,"
Bay Inn
8/10 Good
"Very decent place to stay! The facility was clean and the staff was super great! I didn't use the hot tub-some kids had been in there earlier and there was a strange foam roiling atop the water later so it didn't appeal. The gym is a very tiny room with 2 bikes and a treadmill jammed into it, so I wouldn't count on that being super useful. There was no hair conditioner available, which seemed odd-I stopped packing it, so I was out of luck. The in-room hair dryer was by far the worst I've ever used. So ladies, pack your hair stuff! Some of the pillows were elderly and need replaced, but the mattress was ok. That said, my complaints are piddly in the big picture. The main stuff was on point - clean, friendly staff, decent free breakfast options, good location. I feel the value of the room was fair for the price amd and would stay again."
LogginOut Cottage 3-bedroom cottage in tranquil Au Gres with lots of sandy beach
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed here for three nights - 2 adults and one ten year old - and we had a great time! The cabin was very clean and the updated kitchen was so nice and well stocked with dishes and cookware. Plenty of space to relax, including the closed-in porch, the deck with a huge table and seating (where the trees give you some privacy from neighbors), chairs near the stairs to the beach, and a picnic table in the front of the cabin. Lots of seating and table space inside too. My son had a ton of fun swimming in the lake and they even had kayaks (plus lots of other stuff) for us to use. The garage was also stocked with a wagon containing enough firewood for a night plus some kindling supplies. Rebecca was wonderful and very communicative, they responded to any issues right away. There was also a cute little bakery stand right next door on Saturday morning! My only suggestion is to bring water shoes because it’s very rocky near the shore, but a sandbar isn’t too far in. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would book again."
Lost Arrow Resort

"You can rent ebike and ATVs from the resort. They have a restaurant on weekends. Good place."
Granny`s Cabin on Sandy Lake Huron
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean and excellent communication from the host. We enjoyed our stay very much and the beach was awesome! We would stay again!"
Enjoy a Lake Huron view less than a minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach.
10/10 Excellent
"A classic cottage vibe. That place where you can be with your family and keep nice memories. I recommend going to the cemetery beach and spending your day there with food and everything you need to be like knowing your house is a 1 minute drive from the beach. Plus, you have easy access to shops and other tourist spots in the region."
Cozy 1-bedroom studio cabin on Secord Lake 2.5hrs north of Detroit.
10/10 Excellent
"What an amazing place, honestly! A perfect getaway for exploring adventures or just a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life and work. An abundance of state land to trail walk or just cruise the groomed dirt roads knowing the main dirt roads all lead to a paved road, i.e., Three Rivers Road, M61, Sterling Road. The tranquility of the cabin's area...utter peace and stress free. No dogs barking. No emergency vehicle sirens. Just chirping birds, bustling leaves, and a nice river down the back hill. And, the sun sets on the back of the cabin and really makes for a nice evening! I am quite certain that we will be back!P.S. The water/coffee stand is a damn nice touch. K-cups were on site, just don't forget your half/half and sugar! "
