Beautiful B and B in a great setting, out and away from the touristy part of Okoboji. Good service with lots of amenities. Not on the water, but nice, peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was unique, but with no real choices.

The Oakwood Inn is first rate in every way--perfect location, beautiful inn (we had the entire third floor), amazing grounds, delicious food, and gracious hospitality. We would highly recommend a stay with Bridget and Bill. Plus, they are pet friendly for a small fee.

We would highly recommend staying here. Very cozy and owners are extremely kind and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and were able to accommodate our dietary needs. The bed was cozy and the room was very clean. The building was so unique and beautifully updated.

Lake Okobogi gem!

A wonderful B & B located in the heart of the Iowa Great Lakes region! Nice, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast served daily. Park like grounds in a quiet area. Highly recommended!

The best hotel for relax and rest

Thats a amazing place full of history,excelent ubication,owners are very friendly,try the guest like they own family,everything clean ,in perfect condition,i was in 5 stars hotels before and this dont have nothing to envy one of them,quiet and clean ,great gardens with outside areas,plenty of green and nature near the city but you can feel like you be in another time far of the stress of the city,recomend 100 percent ,a inforgetable experience,history,nature and confort together to bring to you a awesome experience

From the moment we walked in, the Oakwood Inn was so inviting! Doug & Mari (Innsitters) could not have been more kind. Their cookies, coffee and breakfasts were delicious! Enjoyed sitting in rockers on front porch in the mornings and reading in the backyard. The Inn always had a pleasant smell, and loved the sheets so much I have to order. Our room was spacious and appreciated the bathroom amenities. Thank you.

This place is amazing and Bill and Bridget are wonderful. Bridget's breakfast is so good. Her food is amazing. She accommodated are vegetarian lifestyle and it wasn't boring food. Rooms large, everything you need is there. The robes are cozy. Grounds beautiful. I would recommend to anyone. It is adult only so great for a couples getaway or anniversary. So much more than a hotel. So peaceful. Thank you to our host and hostess for making it unforgettable.

This was the most restful overnight stay ever! Drove up from the Des Moines area to hear my Sons band so we were road weary when we arrived. We had time to rest, freshen up and make the show. After the concert we all had a great time in the den. Sleep came effortlessly. We awoke to a fab breakfast. Check out was easy and without rush. We would repeat this stay if we got the chance *****

Amazing stay!

I travel ALOT for work, and rarely have time to leave reviews for each place, but this one is a MUST. Beautiful, super clean and well-appointed rooms, idyllic setting, staff (Sue) was wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious - I highly recommend the owner's egg bake recipe. I was even greeted by the local deer population at the front entrance upon arrival. It was a welcome change from generic hotel rooms. My room had a working fireplace and hot tub, which was a much appreciated in Iowa winter after a 6 hour drive. I can't wait to be back in this area for another stay. May need to bring the hubby for a nice romantic weekend getaway this summer, and explore the beautiful grounds!
