Ocean Park’s more than 20 rides and roller coasters, plus numerous exhibitions of rare animal species, attracts millions of visitors each year. The park also includes various observatories and laboratories and a dolphin breeding center, making it a place where entertainment and education meet.
The park is located in the Wong Chuk Hang and Nam Long Shan areas in Hong Kong’s Southern district. A large mountain separates the park into two areas, The Summit and The Waterfront, connected by shuttle bus, funicular railway and cable car.
Arrive early to beat the crowds and head up to The Summit. Enjoy stunning views of the South China Sea from the rotating observation deck at the Ocean Park Tower, and admire an array of marine life at the Atoll Reef. This four-story aquarium holds more than 250 different species of fish, including the black-spotted Stingray.
The Summit also offers several adrenaline-charged rides such as The Abyss, which plunges passengers earthward at speeds faster than free-fall from a height of 203 feet (61 meters).
At The Waterfront there’s plenty to keep young visitors entertained at Whisker’s Harbour, from a jungle gym to Animal Story Corner. Young and old visitors alike will enjoy Giant Panda Adventure, an impressive purpose-built habitat for rare giant pandas and red pandas. Visit the Chinese alligators in Gator Marsh and learn about the significance of goldfish to Chinese culture in the Goldfish Pavilion.
Be sure to catch a show at one of the park’s theaters. The Bird Theatre holds educational shows with birds of prey including falcons, eagles and vultures. The Ocean Theatre offers a changing program of productions featuring the park’s marine mascots.
Show admission is often included in the ticket price, but be sure to check when booking. Children under three are admitted free of charge. Check the website for up-to-date information.
Ocean park is open daily except for major holidays. To get to there, take bus 629 from either Central Pier 7 or Admiralty MTR Station, Exit B

Reviews of Ocean Park
4/5 - Good
If you buy tickets online, check the fine print on what to bring for identification. We needed to show picture Id's for everyone for admission. Luckily we took pictures of all of the passports on a phone. What could have been a disaster was avoided.
4/5 - Good
Lines were extremely long. Tickets are quite pricey.
3/5 - Okay
Pay extra to get a fast track pass. We wasted alot of time in the queue. In some cases over 1hr for a ride that lasts 5min .
