寝るだけの人向き
目の前のライブハウス利用のためこちらに宿泊しました。ホテル自体は古いですし設備は最低限です。私はベッドとシャワーがあればOKなので快適でした。フロントの方は親切でしたが、下の中華料理店が忙しいようでほぼフロントにはおられません。食事するところは周辺にたくさんありますし、美味しい店が多いです。ただ、ホームレスも多いので夜女性の1人歩きは避けた方がいいと思います。

スタッフはいいが部屋は汚い
チェックインの時のスタッフはいい人だった。しかし、冷蔵庫の中に前の宿泊客の食べ物が残っていて、腐っていた。ニオイが臭かった。

ホームレスが多いネイバーフッドでした。ロケーションとWiFiは良かったです。建物も古くて、共用バスでした。

There is no bathroom inside the room. Everyone has to share the bathroom/shower in the common area. It's especially inconvenient at night! I guess there is disclosure before you finalize the booking but unfortunately, I did not see it.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We understand that everyone has different travel preferences and budgets, which is why we offer multiple room types. All of our guest rooms do indeed have access to showers which include towels and toiletries. We have multiple shared facilities located on each floor with bathrooms with showers for guest use. We disclose and note on all reservation sites that some of our rooms do not have their own private bathrooms. Please read carefully. The room type that was initially reserved, "Standard Double Room with Shared Bathroom", while lacking it's own bathroom, offers a practical and lower-cost choice for travelers. For those seeking a more traditional stay, the hotel also offers standard rooms with their own private bathrooms. We hope this may help others make a more informed decision in choosing the room type most suitable for their future stay.

This is a quaint hotel perfect for seeing a show at the UC theatre. It has an ancient vibe going for it. The only thing I could say that was hard about the stay was the lack of parking, the sheets were a bit stained, and the stopper on the shower/tub was stuck in between but all and all a good stay. Especially if you plan on getting out of the bars or show late and need a nosh the Nash Cafe was open for some bomb food.

Loved the area and the vibe of the hotel. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Window looked onto a small but beautiful garden. My only beef was low water pressure in the shower. But overall a really great choice.

It was overpriced for what you get in opinion. It was a little bit dirty and run down. It is an old building but not kept up well. I was just expecting something much nicer. The location is nice though .

It was completely unclear to me that you were supposed to have a shared bathroom at the price. I booked. They only told me when I got there. That is disgusting.

Please take a look on the reservation and confirmation. The price is lower for the room with shared bathroom. The reservation confirmation also show that on the email. If you unclear, you can request upgrade the room with Private Bathroom at check in time, but just to pay for the price difference if the room is available.

Great stay and location
Very nice and friendly staff. Rooms are good quality and are worth the price. Rooms feel very safe and sound insolation is pretty good. Me and friends have stayed here multiple times (4) because the location is very good for eating and bars, as well as being close to Berkeley college. The biggest downside is there is no parking, and the nearby parking garage that can accrue a pretty high fee if you need to keep it there for many days. When I visit San Francisco I will always stay here because of the convenient transportation as well. Great little hotel!!

They don’t provide tissue at room (I learned it’s their policy). I found “dried tea leaves” inside the spout of electrical kettle. But after scratching it out, I found it was “dried roach”. Although I requested to unclog the clogged shower drainage and repair broken bedside lamp, they never showed up. They can do better by displaying the history of Berkeley as a historical hotel.

On the ad it states there’s a parking garage on center that is $25 for a day. I parked there then walked to the hotel I went to check in which took about 15 mins to get in the door (lady was having a conversation with co worker while I was waiting to come in) had to call to get let in , then the lady let me in she told me where to go to check in where I waiting longer. I called the number again and the man sent her upstairs to check me in. She apologized then upgraded my room. I asked about the parking if I needed my ticket validated she said no it’s free. Left about 5:30am and my ticket to get out was $37 will NOT be staying here again!! Advertisement on Expedia is not correct

It's in a really good spot for getting around downtown Berkeley or onto UCB campus. The room I had was a good size, came with a fridge, microwave and electric kettle. The place has a lot of character.

Location is the best quality. Bed was small and uncomfortable. I know you are basically paying for location. Would be nice to update the rooms, and get some better beds and pillows. Small conveniences like ice would be nice as well.

Its a very old hotel with old carpet, doors, furnture. The are is great being close to Cal Berkeley and tons of excellent restaurants. My room is 10x12' but gets me sleep. A shared bathroom in the hall way. Not cheap but probably cheaper than most others nearby. 2 stars.

The single worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Here’s a list: 1. The bed gave me a rash 2. Basically no wifi 3. Freezing cold, they didn’t run the heat 4. Toilet didn’t flush 5. Cockroaches 6. Fire exit was blocked by metal grates and a wooden block that wouldn’t let you open the window 7. Carpets were sticky 8. Some lights and power outlets didn’t work. Scary to think about a short circuit inside the 200 year old walls when you don’t have a fire exit. 9. Front desk was never there

Cold, dingy and stuffy. Broken furniture and shared bathrooms. Unfriendly and frequently absent customer service. No room cleaning.

Nash Hotel has central heating system and portable heater for rooms if you request. The room you reserved is the shared bathrooms in the hallway. You may need to reserve the room with private bathroom in the future, but the price is 50% higher. During the Pandemic time, we do not touch anything in your room in general, but anyone can request for room service. For any service request, customer can call the front desk from your room. Thank you for your information and show some issues that you found.

This shabby old hotel could have some charm with a decent renovation. But carpeting is dirty, fixtures are old, no one was generally at the reception desk, and there were bugs in the room and bathroom. Not a place I would revisit or recommend.

Cozy, intimate, quirky. Tiny stain on my sheets and towels, possibly from laundry machine. It isn't a high end hotel experience, but it was fine for a bed to sleep in

the proximity to uc berkeley campus and the walk-ability of the surrounding vicinity, not to mention bart station was especially convenient on my short trip to norcal. it is a college town. thats either a good thing or not a preference to some. i read the reviews prior to booking, and it is true the hotel is "run down," but it is still a space with a comfortable bed. also the shared restrooms arent too terrible. i never crossed paths with someone going in or out, and theyre clean. And you have your privacy. i was content with my stay at the nash hotel.
