Positives: Good location, accessible, and tons of space to actually entertain
Small Issues: Furniture in family room is worn down, no curtain nor drain cover in master bedroom, grill doesn't seem to be well maintained, deck chairs are questionable
Major Issues:
The whole lawn is unkept. There was a huge thorny weed on the front walkway that was overgrown that I had to cut down using a kitchen knife to safely get into the house.
The house has a spider issues as there were five cobwebs in the back bathroom, and at least thee types of spiders were seen in the house. When packing to leave, my wife noticed a spider in her bag, and our daughter was bitten by something at night which we believe was a spider.
Since the house is an older house, it really needs a deep clean more often (shampooing carpets, etc.) because this is an older house which hasn't been updated. I don't know when it was done, but the place was dusty when we arrived and the curtains in the main bedroom need to be replaced. (I know one shower head had mold).
Last, but not least the smoke alarm wasn't even put up nor had a battery. Beyond that it was dated and didn't have a carbon monoxide detector.
I say all of this because it leads me to question the owner, management company, and VRBO. Consumers can deal with dated and minimal amenities, but this property screams a lack of quality control and could be seen as a safety hazard. If there are no standards being set, then should anyone be charged a premium price?
