Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Easy access to the Cabot Trail. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. The dining facility where you have breakfast was top notch. Alot of the motel rooms had a view of the lake with seating outside your room as well to enjoy the view. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a great place to stop and stay on our 3 day Cabot Trail adventure. The Trailsman is clean, easy to get around and staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms patio was a welcomed surprise - it gave us a place to enjoy the weather, the waterfront and sit in our own Adirondack chairs. I happily recommend the Trailsman Lodge!

The property location is beautiful- directly overlooking the lake. Rooms are very comfortable, large with mini fridge, coffee maker etc. Staff and management very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was ample and good. Excellent location to town of Baddeck. Would highly recommend. Reason for 4 star is some attention to exterior enhancements and maintenance suggested. Not a deterrent, otherwise 5 star.

Staff were polite and friendly upon arrival. Property was well kept and room was clean. Had a pool which looked lovely and clean but due to time of year we didn't brave to get in. Had a lake view which was lovely. Breakfast was hot and filling.

The back decks had chairs and a beautiful view. The breakfast was good and plentiful in lovely dining room. The staff were lovely. We really enjoyed staying here for 4 nights while we explored the Cabot trail.

Nice office manager. Our room was nice and cozy and clean. A great bonus is that the motel is located on the water, so guests can take a dip in the lake without leaving the motel. One downside - the breakfast is very poor and the dining room is not well maintained.

We had our best stay in this lodge during our Cabot Trail trip. We had good breakfast, the owner was approachable and helpful, there was pool and trampoline outside, while we get to enjoy small billiards and a table tennis when we used the dining area on our first night. It was 9.5/10 only because the toilet bowl wasn’t thoroughly clean and sink is too narrow to use that it splashed on floor easily.

The breakfasts were really good. All you could eat. The property was in a beautiful location. Only issue we had was the water pressure in the shower. If a lot of people were using it at the same time, the pressure dropped to almost zero. When that happened, the water went ice cold. Also, it was anlmost impossible to get a machine in the laundromat .Other than these issues, the place was very good.
