"Coming from the Twin Cities, this was a very pleasant four hour drive north into a wonderfully secluded lakeside cabin resort. While we didn't fish (it seems perfect for it), we did enjoy our time fixing a few slow meals in the cabin, getting out on the lake, watching the stars at night, and checking out a few nearby spots, like the county fair (that just happened to be perfectly timed with our trip) and bars/restaurants. Really beautiful land up by Northome, and recommend the stay for the area!"

"We had to make a trip to Bemidji with our family for a birthday party. Our stay at The Little Gem was perfect. We didn't have time to take the kayaks out but loved enjoying the view from the dock, campfire and s'mores by the lake and the simple comfort of the house. The space was clean, bright and inviting and we look forward to returning."

"We visited for a quick two day getaway. The cabin was perfectly described, very clean and had a welcome note with treats for the kids. The lake and land are clean and gorgeous. It was cooler weather a space heater was provided along with extra bedding to stay warm. You get the feeling that they really care about your stay, along with the adorable vintage cabin. The weather wasn’t great but we made the most of it and the kids didn’t care! We will be back for a warmer stay with more swimming."

"The cabin was a gem! Super spacious and it had everything we needed for a weekend in Waskish. The sunsets were so amazing looking out at the lake. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach area- very peaceful location. We would definitely come back again."

"We had a great time for our family vacation. The lake was almost empty every day so the kids had a blast tubing. House was great. The only negative was the master doesn’t have walls all the way to the ceiling. If we didn’t have teenagers who wanted to stay up later than us it wouldn’t have been a problem though."

"It's a beautiful, secluded area right on the shore of Round Lake. Having access to the kayaks, paddleboards and canoes was great. I would rent a boat for more serious fishermen. We happened to be the only ones there, but the private dock, beach, etc. is shared by another rental cabin and the owner's cabin. The cabin is small, but it is just as described and pictured. Very clean. They provided a lot of kitchen items that most do not. Judy is very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely visit...
