"This property is probably transitioned from a school, but that does not impact any of the service that you would expect from a hotel. We booked a family room, very spacious. There’s not much going on in the area and it might be the only location you can get a decent sit down meal. By all saying that, food in the restaurant is high quality. "This was the most luxurious place we stayed at in Iceland. The property is immaculate. The stunning views of the harbor and even an old sail boat in front of the hotel. There is a hot tub to use with comfy white bath robes. A beautiful hotel bar and dining room. The breakfast was amazing (and included) with a huge selection of elaborate choices. We had a huge picture window in our room overlooking the harbor with a seating area to rest. The beds were so comfortable and the sheets so soft, I wanted to buy them. There was even a fire place and a reading room. Get there early to enjoy your stay, and get a good parking spot (as it's limited)."
