"This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

10/10 Excellent

"Absolutely fantastic stay at Croyde, the staff and facilities were excellent. There were so many activities available, with no fuss at all, everything was laid out already e.g. mini golf, table tennis, badminton and many more. Despite being August and fully booked, nothing felt too busy; the pool was relatively quiet both times we used it. The only possible fault I could find, is the lack of Air Con in the hotel room, but that was reflected in the price and there was also a fan provided in the room."

The only reason I wouldn't say 5 is: - check in was delayed by an hour or so. - there was no spatula. - the hob fan and light didn't work - the microwave defrost was more like full power. - I didn't know what to do with the bins. "Lovely stay, staff were really friendly and we had a great room with its own outside space! We stayed for dinner at the restaurant and the sea-bass was a great meal. This place has the best outside space of any pub stay the river and gardens are wonderful. We had breakfast included and this was also really good value for money ☺️"
