This location is good if you want an affordable hotel that’s walking distance from the canal districts and from the De Pijp neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and the room fairly well equipped. Unfortunately we got woken on the first morning, with “do not disturb” on our door, because the hotel plumbing had backed up and the plumbing access was in our room. Not a great start, our shower backed up with water from the sewers and smelled terrible. The hotel did give us a room to shower in for the day which helped and the staff were great. I’d like to have liked this hotel a lot more than we did, unfortunately starting a stay with a plumbing failure affecting the overall stay isn’t going to result in a five-star experience anywhere though.

My stay was underwhelming. Nothing was terrible, but the hotel felt run down, with no obvious signs of recent renovation. The biggest frustration was late-night access. After a certain hour, we had to ring the buzzer and wait outside for at least 10 minutes each time, and the staff who eventually answered were not particularly friendly. The room had small issues too. The bathroom was out of paper towels, and we were told the hotel had simply run out. Complimentary drinks were a nice touch, but at over $600 a night, I expected more. Housekeeping was also difficult to arrange. On the first day, we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door in the morning, but when we requested service after 3 p.m., we were told nobody was available. The same thing happened the next day. The location is excellent, but the overall experience didn't justify the price.

Das Personal ist überaus freundlich, die Zimmer sind schön. Es gibt Parkplätze vor und hinter dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war allgemein sauber, hätte aber mit ein wenig mehr Aufwand perfekt sein können. Das Frühstück bietet alles was man sich wünscht und Getränke wie Kaffee, Tee oder auch Smoothies sind inklusive. Hätten wir geahnt, dass man die Therme kostenfrei nutzen kann, hätten wir auch Badesachen mitgenommen.
