"ALL the staff were great. The table service at the Merlin bar was very slow. But it was busy. They only had 1 lift (out of 3)working that day which made us get our steps in. Food was amazing! But I do not like , and The Manor is not alone in this, that a service charge is added automatically to our bill. The golf experience was great. Lifts to and from the courses all complimentary, and there is also the added bonus of free charging at the outside carpark, and plenty of them too! I had a great time her. Loved my room and the bath! "Breakfast was very good, and even included in the price. Staff very nice and efficient. The ONLY niggle for me was the EV parking. This was my first trip away with an EV. Picked this hotel as it had a charger on site. But the fast chargers I couldn’t get to work and the slow chargers (x2) had diesel cars parked in front of them as they had disable badges in their windows. Do those drivers not realise that disabled drivers have EV’s too! The hotel could not do anything. This was not their fault. I liked this hotel, and will probably use it again in the future as it was good value for money and really good location! "

"2nd stay at the Parkgate. Fantastic hotel in the centre of Cardiff. The only downside is the parking situation. Much easier to get the train in and walk over to the hotel."
