"I stayed just for a night and it was the best hotel sleep I’ve had in ages. Check in was easy, staff were lovely, and parking was plentiful. "

"Plenty of parking Clean - no bugs Goes downhill from there. Front desk people were polite but far from friendly. Major renovations need to be done before I will come back. Windows did not lock, which my husband discovered as we were getting ready for bed. He decided that they were too small for anyone to crawl through, but not a comforting feeling. Pool - closes at 5pm on Sunday - we arrived at 5:10 😳 Hot tub - closed for cleaning on Monday until 1pm, but check out is at 11am So I have no idea what the condition is of either, but I cannot imagine that they are in great shape. I should have known that 2 pools and a hot tub for that price was too good to be true "

"Very clean and cozy property with an incredibly thoughtful host. The place is well stocked and furnished with just about everything you might need during your stay. The kitchen is especially well equipped, with great pots, pans, knives, and more. There are also several nice touches like multiple coffee stations and even a popcorn setup, which made the stay feel extra welcoming and convenient. Would definitely stay again!"

"The reception staff Claire who when I told her of my late arrival due to delayed flight not only left detailed instructions how to get in but also videos that extra effort really made me feel welcome and in the morning the homemade coffee cake muffins by another staff Elizabeth were the perfect food to wake up to. I will certainly stay there again!!"

"Room were very clean. The build in wood stove takes the gold medal. Very easy to get going and maintain. It’s a bit of a drive to ski resorts but the price point and beautiful Townshend area makes up for it. Where can you drive over a beautiful working dam to get to your rental?Skene Acres has everything you need. "

"This was a beautiful secluded log cabin in great part of Vermont. The wood stove made for a great experience and housed us perfectly for a ski weekend.*One thing to note is the house is located 10 minutes on backroads up on a mountain. During the winter season there should be a note on the listing advising for a truck, SUV or 4W drive. My Sedan was unable to make it up to to the house the first night and lucky another guest of ours had a Ford F-150 to get us up to the home. The second night I also barely made it up and it was dangerous. Plan ahead in the winter.I am still giving this a 5 star rating as I would book again for other seasons. The home and location is beautiful and dog friendly"

"The host was very helpful and responsive!! The app guide that Tommy had was great. There was nothing that would make me lower the star rating. Only a few very minor things that I mentioned to him. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house was very cozy. The only thing that would’ve made this trip even better would’ve been a moose spotting… hahaha. Thanks again!! "
