The hotel room and property were both very nice, and overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, we encountered a disappointing issue on the last day of our four-day trip. We requested housekeeping service since our room hadn’t been cleaned during our stay. When speaking with the manager downstairs, he pointed out that our “Do Not Disturb” sign had been up — which we acknowledged — but he then claimed to have called our room to confirm if we wanted service, which we never received.
He assured us the room would be cleaned, as housekeeping runs until 4:30 p.m. (this conversation took place around 2 p.m.). Unfortunately, he abruptly walked away mid-conversation, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. We returned later that evening to find the room untouched — no cleaning, no fresh towels, and the same sheets from our arrival on Friday.
Even if the DND sign was out for one day, that doesn’t explain the lack of service on the other days. We would have appreciated at least a towel refresh. This interaction and the lack of follow-through left a negative impression at the end of an otherwise pleasant trip.
