This is truly a stunning hotel in a great location! Everyone was super friendly and the continental breakfast was nice. I simply cannot give 5 stars because of the train! Horn blasts multiple times in the middle of the night. Nothing the hotel can do about, just really wish I had paid attention to other reviews that mentioned it. Unfortunate, because it really is lovely.

The only downside is and was my room was facing the train which was extremely loud when passing and the musical number that was playing daily every morning. The property overall was nice quiet and clean. I would definitely book here again just pick a different room

This is a lovely place to stay. We didn’t want to be near the loud partying people and this was perfect. Very nice amenities and the staff was easy to find when needed. I would stay here again any time.

My general impression: pros are the location and the continental breakfast. Cons are the outdated rooms, small pool, like a big bathtub and the decorative glass is falling in the water, wounding my feet. The breakfast is poor and didn’t change in the 4 days of my stay (boiled eggs, bread, yogurt, cream cheese, bagels and pancakes), so it is not worth the bargain. The hotel is 8 stories and there were like 5 other guests during breakfast so it is not an attractive facility. Now my personal experience, I checked out and paid for our 2 rooms at 11am and stayed in the lobby till 1:30pm. Once I left, I received multiple charges from the hotel that were luckily declined except for $200. When I called, they told me there was a wall damage behind the door in one of the rooms. I asked for time-stamped photos and a receipt but nothing was ever sent. I walked around the room after I sent my luggage because I have children that usually leave things behind and I did not notice any damages. I told them I will come over to check the damage. When I came, Lisa, the manager, took us to the room and showed us a hole in the wall. There were no wall pieces or paint dust on the floor, so the carpet was vacuumed. This damage is definitely intentional and happened after we left and they are charging us for it. It is the most wild thing I ever faced in 20 years of travel. If you want to stay, record a video before you leave. I will submit a dispute but $200 is worth exposing unethical business.
Damage that they claim was caused by the door handle and interestingly the door stopper disappeared.

Loved this place! Perfect little boutique hotel on the Mississippi. Rooms are perfectly appointed with decent space for items. The history of the building was fun to read about.

I want to start with this is a beautifully crafted hotel and had our situation been different it would have been an amazing place to stay. The modern, meets rustic antique is amazing and would love to have my house look like this. With that being said, I think that this is a hotel for couple or single person. It is not meant for a family, especially a family with teenagers. I hate that the shower can be seen from the rooms. you can see people showering even with the frosted glass. Teenagers had a hard time with this and refused to shower the entire stay. In addition, I had to shower in the Dark because I too didn't want to turn on the lights for my teenage son to see me naked. In addition, the shower floor was extremely slippery, and I almost fell several times. When I came downstairs to ask if there was another room that we could trade for I was told that all the rooms had this feature, and it was too bad there was nothing they could do. This is not the case as my mother's room did not have a see through shower. I booked the room with 4 indicating I had two teenagers. This should have been considered in making room assignments. The only option the person at the desk gave me what to cut a black trash bag and hang it over the window. He was very unhelpful and acted very put out by my concern. I will highly discourage anyone with kids from staying here as it completely ruined our stay. New Orleans is hot and sticky and showering is a must.

Great location and staff were amazing. Room was not as clean, several areas of stains and crumbs noticed throughout the room. But overall, would recommend if you don’t worry about cleanliness.

Lobby was clean. My family absolutely loved the 2 guys who worked the lobby in the AM± the 1 working nights is our fave. He was so kind & helpful to all who entered the lobby. Issues: room was dirty w/ stained bedding. house keeping is ONLY done if you call b4 10am. They were awful at restocking the room, parking rates & arrangements, AC quit working at times, little fridge that isn’t cold. Makes it hard with a disabled toddler. The lady working the lobby at check in 6/2/25 & 6/5/25 is more rude than helpful. I also didn’t appreciate the lack of communication nor the lack of help with parking situation with 2 cars as we had booked this months in advance but per Expedia & the direct hotel site only said off site parking but neither bothered to mention that it would cost $277/ per car from 6pm on Monday night to Friday morning at 9am; so $554 just in parking. The parking app the hotel makes you use isn’t affiliated with the hotel. Had I know parking was like this then I could have stayed across the way at Westin at $45/night in their secured garage lot instead of $66/night before their fees in an outside unsecured lot to pay $554 just in parking for the cars to stay parked since if you left there is no promise you get parking back & the pass is not transferable to another lot. When asking about it cause it was never mentioned or how it worked on either website the front lady was like welp & not helpful. If I knew sooner I would have canceled our stay to hotel. Disappointed
The hotel is the little white building in front of the Westin that shares parking lot with aquarium, hotel ONE11, and anyone in the French quarter visiting the area
