My room was quaint, close to the front and spacious. Only issue was a leaky shower that dripped the entire stay. I’m told staff as I was leaving so some of that may have been my fault since perhaps they could have fixed it. Otherwise, enjoyed the hotel cat who frequently stayed with me.

I loved this place!!!! Close enough to get anywhere fun, but quite when your ready for rest. Beautiful but not over the top and the cats in the courtyard were a highlight. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

This hotel is in the perfect location in the French Quarter - everything is walkable and 10 min away! The hotel lobby is very pretty and quaint. My room was quite small and sparse - was okay since I was traveling solo, but would be tough for 2 people. Highly recommend bringing your own hairdryer and steamer. Rooms have central air and a ceiling fan so the temperature was nice and cool after a warm day out and about. There is a bodega across the street from the hotel to grab snacks and bottled water. The bedding and towels were very dingy and in need of a good bleaching. My bathroom was dated and in need of an upgrade, there was some grime and mold in the tub. The property for the most part was quiet and relaxing. There is a microwave in the lobby and the room had a mini fridge.

Nice little hotel in a great area. Would give it a 4/5 but bed sheets had noticeable stains on them which was gross. Very walkable area which is a plus.

Pros: Great atmosphere, great communal area, awesome location, free parking for the night. Awesome staff, very friendly. Cons: 1. Didn't like that I had to turn in my car keys to the front desk. 2. The king size bed was old and not comfortable at all. 3. Couch in the room needs to be either cleaned or replaced. Felt like a frat house. 4. Don't plan on sleeping early if you get the first floor. Sounded like elephants stomping around. Typical of old houses

Brett, Mr. Woodside and Kimberly were all extremely helpful and accommodating. This trip was hot and the rooms were exceptionally cold and comfortable. They checked us in early and held our bags whenever we needed them too. The property boasts an antiquity that only New Orleans can provide. It was close to everything and well kept. We were close enough to everything we wanted to do in the quarter, but we got the peace and quiet we were looking for at night.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. The location was great, close enough to everything but just enough far away that you did not get noise. The walls were a little thin but thats what you get with older hotels. We had a lovely stay. We would stay again. Plus the kitties were such a fun bonus!

The bedroom was right on the street. It was obvious there were plans to eventually renovate - being the most run-down building on the block, but as is, our experience was horrible. We have never been so exhausted from lack of sleep on a vacation. No effort to block or even minimize street noise or street lights. No curtains. The shutters were falling off and did not close. The security lock on the door was broken. There is a heavy iron gate attached to the wall behind the bed, leading to an alley with garbage cans. The staff slammed the gate at all hours of the night with no consideration of the occupants. They could have at least put some sort of bumpers or quiet-close mechanism on it. We politely mentioned the above to staff for future consideration - knowing it was during Mardi Gras season (which we have thoroughly enjoyed many times in NOLA). We told them we understood it was much too busy to address at the time but wanted them to know. They basically scoffed at us and ignored us the remainder of our stay. Never again. Do not recommend.

We love staying in the French Quarter. Everything is in easy walking distance. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was clean, and we loved the history of the old building. As in most places in the corner night time could be a little noisy, especially if your room is right on the street. I’d recommend asking for a room on the interior courtyard. Our state couldn’t have been better than we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room was good. Right on the street so thick blackout curtains would have been better. Decor was minimal but good full length mirror and a jazz theme photo. Unexpected refrigerator and microwave in room were nice. Mattresses and chair were very comfortable. Ice bucket in room with onsite ice machine was also good. 4 of the 5 staff members I met were Waldorf quality and friendly, the 5th one was fine and maybe just tired. Not so great was NO IN ROOM COFFEE MAKER and coffee only available in lobby 6am until noon. Hot water for tea has its own flavor also available when coffee is served. 2 friendly cats hang out by the pool nearest the lobby. The 2nd pool had several Chihuahua sized rats that were coming from the other side of the fence so I didn’t consider that the hotel’s fault. Close to Bourbon Street, Louis Armstrong park and best breakfast place-Wakin Bakin.

This hotel was definitely not as advertised. Our assigned room was dirty; stains on sheets, dead bugs by the baseboards and in the shower lights (roaches and flies), lacked working outlets, etc. We had to ask about them fixing the cleanliness issue twice. On the second time we brought up the issue of the bugs, one of the front staff members offered to change our room. When we came back later in the day, the manager told us that the staff was mistaken and we actually couldn’t change rooms and that they had gone in our room and hadn’t found any evidence that it wasn’t clean. We had to go in and show the cleaning staff the issue. It’a difficult to fathom why the hotel staff wouldn’t believe us when we brought up an issue, and they were extremely rude about the room change mixup when it wasn’t even something we had necessarily requested! I would recommend looking elsewhere in the French Quarter, if that is your preferred place to stay. Not a great hotel experience at all.
