200years old whitewashed cycladic stone house, restored to its original iconic architecture, with stunning terraces, 3 bedrooms on 3 floors with 3 en-suite bathrooms. At the center of Naxos island, on the top of Filoti village hill, under mount Zeus, overlooking the beautiful village, the olive tree valley and the breathtaking sunset over the sea horizon. The house combines both a serene location and a vivid village plaza with colorful cafes and taverns at walking distance.
The space
We follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:
- we sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
- we use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and we wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
- we clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists
- we provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
- we leave the house empty for at least 24hours between arrivals
The natural dew of the tall thick stone-made walls makes a contrast with the bright warm greek summer. The local building materials, like the Naxian marble, stones and whitewashed plaster, the antique furniture and the traditional decoration, the various floors and multiple rooms, stairs and terraces underline the age and the character of the house in the spirit of a typical greek summerhouse.
Guest access
All house areas and a small garden will be available to guests at all times.
Please note that guests with mobility issues may find it difficult to reach the house through the stairs of the traditional village alleys.
Other things to note
- You ll have to take a rather bumpy and adventurous small road to reach the parking area next to the house, but the views and the location will be rewarding. And there is a second option of a much shorter and driver-friendly road for your car, if you don’t mind a few minutes walk after the parking area.
- Reaching the lovely village plaza from the house ( with lots of taverns and local shops) will only take 5 min. walking down the steps of the picturesque narrow streets. But it will take a little courage to climb back the steps to return to the house, especially if you have some mobility problems. Taking the car is always a safe option but you’ll miss the chance to be seduced by the typical Cycladic alleys and whitewashed houses.
- The special architecture of the house with outdoor stairs and terraces make it rather unsafe for small children.
