8.8/10 Excellent! (1,003 reviews)
Overall I enjoyed my stay at Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station. The hotel was close to the train station which meant it was easy to get out and about. The room I stayed in was very spacious with ample room to move about. The bathroom was also larger than expected. The only minor dissatisfaction with the room was I could see the Girl with the Pearl Earring painting in the room had what looked like some liquid streak on it which you could see at an angle, as well as some liquid streaks on the door that opened up the area for where the kettle is. One thing of note to anyone looking to stay at this particular hotel. There are major roadworks going on in front of the hotel which means the access to the train station is to go around the roadworks which isn't a lot more walking but still a detour to direct access. Whilst we were there which was over the weekend and a couple of days into the week there wasn't any actual work so there was not any noise disturbance. However, I can imagine that being an issue for hotel guests when work is going on outside the hotel.

"Terrible service. No luggage storage, No converters. Issue with key, had to be re-done in the middle of the night as it stopped working (staff member was very unpleasant). Rooms are very difficult to access, you need to take 2 elevators, no explanations given by the team, another guest was kind enough ..."

"The room was small (as expected) but so cozy! We found ourselves struggling getting over the jet lag because we wanted to stay holed in our room. The AC one night had an error over night and wasn’t cooling but went away in the morning, after researching seems the error was “an obstruction was blocking ..."
