"Our stay was lovely at hotel Victoria, the reception staff were so kind, helpful and welcoming. Sometimes being a person of colour in Europe can be daunting but the hotel and Basel in general felt safe. Only slight feedback I would have is for cleaning, some used plates , mugs etc were not removed or cleaned and rubbish was not taken from the room ( we have accumulated it in a bag and placed it next to the dustbin as all of it would not fit in the bin). Bed and bathroom was cleaned so that was no problem. "

"We were able to get into our room 2 hours early, which was great after traveling 18 hours! Hotel centrally located to train station and to walking around old town and to restaurants. Hotel staff all were very friendly and helpful. "

"My stay was quite enjoyable and peaceful. The housekeeping staff came by every morning, they were friendly and attentive. The front desk staff were helpful. My room was clean and the given glassware was beautiful. My only complaint would be a strange smell emanating from the bathroom drain. It was pungent and not a pleasant stench. "
