The receptionist was freindly but couldnt speak english well and spoke a little to fast
The room wasnt very clean i dropped my socks on the floor and they were covered in dust
The lighting was dark it seem to cover the dirt there was hair everywhere and in the sheets and blanket was so thin no spare blankets
Shower was dirty black ring on the bottom
The walls were black

Great well priced hotel. We were on the 3rd floor, opposite car park building. Was expecting a bit of noise but was quiet. Comfy bed and pillows.

Parkside was a pretty good accommodation because it is within walking distance of Auckland CBD, which we wanted to check out. The units were a good size to hold 3 of us and our luggage. The only thing missing was a central table with chairs. However, the dryer of the washer/dryer did not work well. Our clothes smelled musty even after drying them a second time. So I don't know if I would stay here again or recommend it. Also, even though we checked in after check-in time, one of our rooms was not ready. So we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for it.

The location with shops and restaurants were perfect and the train station a 1 min walk. The was very nice and up to a high standard. I had some friends who lived in nearby condos to check it out because if they have family coming for visit, it was a great place to put them up or if a large family, they move into this place.
The constructive comment, it rain hard the other night and as you walk from the car park and enter on the left side, the rain gutters in the left-side on the smaller building needs to be checked out because it was full running over the top. This would be an easy fix and not a major issue. I have no problems recommending this place.
