Owner sent an email to us the morning of our arrival date, saying the rental would be available at 4 p.m. When we showed up at 4 p.m., owner 's friend, who was at the property, said we were mistaken; no one was booked for that night. The rental had not been cleaned. He was unable to reach the owner. When we showed him the owner's email from earlier that morning, he then called the cleaner to the property. It was after 7 p.m. that we were told we could access the property. The owner called us while we were waiting and said he would "buy us drinks", but refused any other refund. At the price we were paying for the rental (which comes out to $15./hr.) , he owes us $45. He repeated his offer for "drinks" two days later. A month later, he has not made good on his promise, and has ignored my message reminding him of it.
