Lovely Efficiency

Steve the owner was excellent in his communication. When I arrived the unit was super clean and cool, AC was running and was a delight when I stepped in the unit. The restaurant next door was nice to have as there is nothing within 10 miles. Beautiful drive from Marco just lovely. I would definitely stay here again. I was house hunting so didn't have much time to explore the pool but it looked very nice and clean as well. Thank you for an easy check in and a super clean place to stay. Note: there is a nice Ship Store for snacks and drinks.

This property is a gem, within a marina and also close to nature preserves, state and national parks. Collier Seminole State Park, five minutes away, is a delight, with hiking, biking and nature programs. Rookery Bay is lovely anytime of the day, with beautiful sunsets.

Our stay was nice. Our room wasn't quite ready at 3pm as promised, and there was a dirty towel left in bathroom that we requested be picked up but wasn't. We enjoyed the pool, pickle ball, nearby beach at Marco, kayaking, island tour, and airboat ride. Tv struggled with WiFi... We had to watch Super Bowl on our phone. Coin operated laundry facility onsite, but no one wanted to provide quarters. Very rude at marina shop. Had to ask neighbor for quarters. Suggest coin machine or card appliances. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Spring Vacation

It is exactly how it is described on the website. The owner and the manager were easy to work with and very helpful!! It is a very pretty area, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Property was as described and accurate. Great location. Enough space for 2. We found both beds to be comfortable but mini frig did have an issue keeping things cold one night!

Perfect base of operations for exploring Big Cypress & the Everglades

Bottom Line Up Front: Everyone I've told about our experience here and the adventures we had have said, "You just planned my next vacation." The resort is a welcome left-over from a by-gone era when you went to a place to see and appreciate what was unique and different. Pool was worth the 'price of admission' all on its own. We couldn't wait to get back from the day's adventures for a refreshing splash. On-site restaurant was excellent and in fact we regretted not going to it for third night in a row when we ended up at an over-rated dive of a 'beach joint' in Goodland. The room was all we needed for our family of four since our girls are used to sleeping in the same bed and was the most reasonably priced accommodation in the area. As to adventuring, pick a morning and hit the Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk. In Everglades City, we enjoyed blasting through the mangroves with Captain Jack's Airboat Tours. Camellia Street Grill was good tastes for the dollar. Nely's Corner inside the Everglades Fishing Co is highly recommended for breakfast. We rented kayaks from evergladesfloridaadventures.com at Everglades Gulf Coast Visitor's Center and took the Sandfly Island Loop canoe trail (download the NPS app and download the map). Definitely recommend taking the Loop Road in Big Cypress National Preserve -- we saw over 80 alligators. In short, if you run out of things to do here, you're not Googling hard enough. ;-) Of course, Steve is a great host and willing/able to assist as well. Couldn't recommend it more enthusiastically!!!

Casual studio

The studio with a kitchenette was nice for a longer stay, however one of the beds is very uncomfortable and may need to be replaced. My husband was not happy about the parking situation as you could not get a spot near the room. I did like that it was laid back atmosphere. Laundry was easily accessible. Our contact, Steve, made sure we had no issues with getting in and was available for questions.

Great Location and Facility

Excellent self contained studio. Located on the marina with a a wonderful water view. People there were super nice and friendly. Right on the highway and easy to locate. Came with all the amenities to cook. Bathtroom and shower stalls were well provisioned and of good size. Living area had 2 comfortable beds. Had a nice covered porch to sit, read and enjoy coffee/tea. Steve the owner lives on the property and attends to any calls/questions immediately. Friendly and provided us good recommendations.

Peaceful Stay

We have stayed at Port of the Islands before. It’s a quiet place, perfect for relaxing or taking in all that the Everglades has to offer. Also close to Naples and Marco Island shopping and dining. Our unit was fresh and clean, and nicely decorated.

Perfect for two people

Liked the bar/restaurant on property, very relaxing. A bit of a drive to downtown Naples but overall great. Plenty of toiletries and kitchen supplies, and beach towels.
