"The front desk is not in use - the hotel seems to be managed by the neighboring hotel (quality inn) and we needed to walk there for check in and for the breakfasts. The room was nice, spacious and clean, the amenities were good, the fridge was nice but very loud. Beds were comfortable. Price was a little higher than what I would’ve liked, but I suspect that was because of the pumpkin festival."

"The place was nice (but not the 3918 square foot size specified in the listing!). It was very clean but there was a smell that we attributed to the deodorizer cartridges placed in the house. Hot tub was clean and hot and we made good use of it each day. The ocean was only a block away and we very much enjoyed the restaurant at the end of the street. Good food, good drink, good service at a reasonable price. Kitchen was adequate for the two of us but if we were going to be cooking more than just eggs for breakfast, would have been inadequate. Cooking surface is a two-burner, integrated hot plate. There is no dishwasher and the sink is small. Bathroom is clean and plenty of towels were provided. Light switches are confusing. We never could figure out how to turn on the kitchen recessed ceiling lights. We couldn't find a switch for them and guess that they might have been switched with the other ceiling lights in the adjoining living room but were possibly burnt out bulbs. (Kitchen did have a floor lamp that was dim (needs a new three-way bulb). Fire pit was not useable as it was filled to over-flowing with ash. There was no place to remove such ash and no firewood to burn. Not a big deal but since "Fire Pit" is in the title, should have been available for use. Communication with the owners was easy and pleasant. All-in-all, a nice place to stay but not perfect."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Douglas Beach House in Half Moon Bay! The house has so much character, and the history of jazz concerts at the venue next door adds a really cool and unique touch. The updated amenities made our stay comfortable, and the highlight is absolutely the incredible ocean view. You simply can’t beat waking up to that scenery! A special place with history, charm, and a beautiful beachfront setting. We would happily stay here again!"

"This was a great spot for a relaxing weekend by the beach. Perfect location walking distance to food and a nice was to Princeton Landing. The apartment was larger than pictures made it seem and the decor was fun. Will definitely keep in mind to stay next time we want a weekend by the beach. Only slight downside are the very thin walls between neighbors. It wasn't an issue for us, but might be for very light sleepers."

They were stained and a steam cleaning would make them more presentable also it appears the shampoo in the master bedroom on the first floor was mixed up with the conditioner, the outdoor couch on the deck was broken under the cushion unable to use to sit on. Overall, it was beautiful house and the stay was enjoyable. Lovely and convenient area"
